I really liked Storm Born also. This should be a good new series to read. I liked the unique portrayal of the fey and their courts. And the haunted shoe was good.

Do these books have sex in them? I like sex in books, dont get me wrong. But like some others I am just getting tired of reading books with mostly sex and no plot.
For example, the Night Huntress series had ALOT of action and PLOT and very little sex. Which made that sex GOOD.
And the whole dang series was awesome since the sex didnt drown out the story.
So.. back to the question.. what are these books like without spoiling the plot? :D

They were also VERY hot scenes. So the sex wasn't gratuitous, nor was it bland. I thought it was well-balanced.
Storm Born was firmly in the Urban Fantasy camp. I liked the heroine very much. Kick-ass without being over the top harsh or too stubborn. I also like that Mead is incorporating mythical creatures as opposed to the more common weres and vamps. She seems to have a pretty good hold on the Fae world so far and I'm looking forward to seeing where she takes it. There was also a good mix of humor and action, with some character growth thrown in.

And like an earlier post this in the thread the sex added to the story though there was maybe 4-6 scenes all together but they weren't bad and didn't steal away from the plot.

I really liked Storm Born! The whole Kiyo thing is making me tense. I feel like the relationship is going to come to a head in Thorn Queen.
I'm not sure if I like Dorian yet... He makes me laugh but I feel like his motives aren't all that great.
I'm really interested in seeing what happens when Eugenie has to go back to the otherworld.

Dorian on the other hand...he and the multi-colored ropes. (Amelia, first I'm commenting on LC and ropes, now Dorian...oh, my.)
I wish my copy of Thorn Queen would get here already. Supposedly tomorrow!
4 to 6 scenes, huh Kyle? Fabulous. (insert naughty laugh here)

Eugenie's life is BEYOND complicated already. She doesn't need him and his baby mama drama too.
I like Dorian as a character. He's the comic relief most of the time. I'm just not sure of his motives. I feel like I'm going to let mysefl get attached and he is going to end up a HUGE asshole. lol
I wouldn't mind him tying up Eugenie some more. I think it will make things interesting.
All these men and ropes!!! What is going on!? lol
You know atleast one of those 4-6 is going to feature Dorian. :)

I think he's politically motivated. But I don't think he really tries to hide it much. I just take him for what he is. It behooves his cause for her to like him, and she gets valuable training out of it.
And hot sex. Which is, of course, vital.
The initial hotel scene with Kiyo was awesome. It all went downhill from there between me and foxy loxy.

Yea.... I think Dorian is the better in bed of the two.
I'm wondering what she's going to do with her hussy of a sister? Cause if she gets her eggo preggo'ed it's going to get nasty!

That was a weird twist I hadn't expected. Crazy little bitch, though. I think it will be nasty regardless!
I finished Thorn Queen today. I loved it and sooooo thrilled with how it ended. We might need a Thorn Queen spoiler thread!
