Just finished A Duty To The Dead by Charles Todd. It's the first in the Bess Crawford series. Really great book.

Erin H I'm going to be reading The Mammoth Book of Scottish Romance by Trisha Telep!

message 5: by Cheri (new)

Cheri (cvenable16) | 136 comments I can't seem to find anything. I have several that have waiting to read but just can't decide on anything. Been reading a lot of contemporaries lately, thinking I need to find a good historical to fall back into. Anyone know of anything good or new that hopefully I haven't read already?

Did you read Courtney Milan's new book? Came out this month.

message 7: by Phoenix77 (new)

Phoenix77 | 346 comments I started on Grace Burrowes' Windham series. Picked up a three-book bundle a while back and it fell down the ever increasing TBR pile. I'm thinking for 2014 I should choose a realistic New Year's resolution to cut that down to size rather than always trying to cut myself down to size :P

message 8: by Christiana (new)

Christiana I started The Wicked Wallflower and just discovered that Maya Rodale has a companion book which is the same plot written as a contemporary romance, so I will have to read that at a later date to see how that stacks up!

Amber | 161 comments Finally have the time to read The Sum of All Kisses. Also working on a civil war story, A Separate Country.

message 10: by Charlene (new)

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 320 comments Reading a departure of sorts for me: Dean Koontz's
INNOCENCE, whose main characters are "outsiders" for different reasons and the narrator still has not revealed what makes his physical appearance so frightening that he has had to literally live underground and only come out at night or in storms. He's a young man, only 26, and I'm halfway through the book. I'll not read any reviews until I finish it.

I just started the "Reincarnationist" series by M.J. Rose am Loving them.... Excellent history spanning ages all around a theme. Really good

message 12: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Recently finished Brighter Than the Sun (The Lyndon Sisters, #2) by Julia Quinn and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high as so many say it is a favorite of theirs but compared to the Bridgertons, I found the humor a little forced and the chemistry between Charles and Ellie only so-so.
