Class of 2015 discussion

If you had a power you would like to possess which one would you want? The New York Times bestseller, novel, FIRE the sequel to GRACELING by Kristin Cashore is about a girl named Fire who is so beautiful she can control and read minds of anyone she wants until she meets prince Brigan. I think this book is very interesting because it shows how Fire is afraid to be like her father, Cansrel who was also a monster like Fire and used his power for evil purposes which stops her from wanting to use her power but later has the confidence to use it to help her Kingdom Dells during a war. “Some people were too terrible, no matter if you loved them; no matter that you had to make yourself terrible too, in order to stop them. Some things just had to be done.” (pg. 461) I would recommend this book to especially girls age 11 and up. “Readers can enjoy this novel without having read GRACELING. Good job Mercy this book looks really interesting to me because I really like how Fire has a contrediction with her father which might give this story a nother perspective. Also I liked your hook in the beginning it made me think. Good job!

First of all if I can have any power it would be teleportation so I can go wherever I want to go and fire seems interesting to read. Also I wonder if she will maybe follow her fathers footsteps
