I'm going to be doing the same thing… with books from last year's list miraculously reappearing!
Looking forward to your reviews, as ever.

And so the digression begins--with a book not on the original list at all.
1. Rattle Young Poets Anthology, ed. Timothy Green

3. The Bounty by Derek Walcott
Hmmm. At the pace of one a month, I'm not going to make the goal. Time to read some chaps to overcome my feelings of insecurity. :)

13. Cool, Calm & Collected by Carolyn Kizer.
Since my next book is another long one, I'll probably top out at 15 or 16 this year. But I'm happy that I'll have read nearly all of the books listed in my first post. WCW will have to wait until next year.

17.Running With Trains: a novel in poetry and two voices by Michael J. Rosen
Can I read 3 books in December? We'll see.

18. A Pleasure Tree by Robley Wilson
19. Bucolics by Maurice Manning (not finished yet but should be by year's end.)
Lots going on right now so whether I make 20 is still debatable. May depend on whether I get a short book of poetry for xmas and have the time to read it between xmas and new years.

20. The Solitudes by Luis de Gongora, trans. Edith Grossman.
I'm hoping that one will be number 20, but still 60 pages to go.

1. Selected Poems by Mona Van Duyn
2. Cool, Calm and Collected by Carolyn Kizer
3. Poems for the Millenium III
4. The Bounty by Derek Walcott
5. Scything by Joanne Lowery
6. A Love Letter To Say There Is No Love by Maria Williams-Russell
7. The Collected Poems of William Carlos Williams, Vol. 1
8. The Collected Poems of William Carlos Williams, Vol. 2
Numbers 5 & 6 are chapbooks and numbers 2, 3, 6 & 7 are lengthy collections. It's going to be another year of relying heavily on chapbooks to get to 20. If I make it through the long ones above, I may also tackle Williams' Paterson or a collected Whitman.
