Perry Gamsby | 23 comments Shameless self promotion time. (Well who else is going to do it?) here are some links to sites you may find of interest. First of all check out http://thewordshop.info where there is a plethora of writing form dozens of authors, mostly Australian. if you are a writer yourself and have something you'd like to share, contact me and I will be happy to arrange your own author page and upload your content. No fee, totally free, you retain 100% copyright.

If you are after some reading over the holidays, you can download the first 33% of my Street Lit novels right here on Goodreads.

' The Cool Side Of The Pillow by Perry Gamsby The Cool Side of the Pillow' is all about divorce, adultery and the less seamy side of living. It is a book for adults and does contain some heavy scenes.

The second in the Street Lit series is suitable for YA and general readers. ' Twenty Seven Seventy by Perry Gamsby Twenty Seven Seventy' is all about choices and consequences as we follow the threads of lives that entwine into one, life changing moment. Set in suburban Whalan (MT Druitt NSW)it was an entrant in the 2012 Miles-Franklin Award and Prime Minister's Literary Award. It didn't win but the PM's Lit Award people have invited me to submit my latest novel.

That is ' Never Be Unsaid by Perry Gamsby Never Be Unsaid'. This is a novel about writers and writing, written for writers and those readers who like this genre. Two car salesmen by day, writers by night decide to pursue their dreams of becoming full time writers and head off into the Outback. Along the way they have to deal with all sorts of issues and realise that you can be forgiven for what you do, but not always what you say. Something once said, can never be unsaid.

If anyone is keen to read any of these and promises to give a fair and honest review, I am happy to supply a complimentary review eBook. Just respond to this post.

Lots more but that's enough for now. I look forward to discussing my books and lots of other ones with you guys in the future.

Mmmm! Sounds like you need to read the rules for our authors Perry;) https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Happy New Year!!

Perry Gamsby | 23 comments I had read that section first but when I hit new post or topic or whatever it was, I was put in 'General'. I confess after my death I tend to get frustrated and confused online a lot, it just seems to pile up and I have to take a deep breath and try and sort things out, step by step. I still can't figure out how to change the cover images to the current covers or add one for Never Be Unsaid. I think I'll take the kids to the beach instead LOL

You're not allowed to "change" cover images Perry, we do an additional copy for that. The librarian group has all the rules regarding cover copies... I searched for a copy for that book and couldn't find it...can you put a link here to it, and I'll add it for you:) I'm a librarian.

Perry Gamsby | 23 comments OK, I think I follow this 'librarian' stuff and why they don't change the cover etc. Makes sense when there are often several different editions floating around with different covers.

The book is on Amazon here: http://amzn.com/B00HI9QM26

So I will have to add the new cover versions of the other two as new books then? OK, I will allocate an hour tomorrow to reading up on the various bits I've missed so I understand Goodreads better. So far just going back over the Introductions to the group has taken a while! Thanks for the help.

Hi Perry! Could you please let me know what to send and where to in order to be featured on your wordshop page? Thanks, David.

message 9: by Perry (new)

Perry Gamsby | 23 comments David, send your author bio-blurb, a photo and your writing to my email address [email protected] and I will make it happen, then let you know. I'm looking for more YA and Chick Lit as well as more non-anglo male writers to give us more diversity; so if you know anyone...

Cheers Perry

You're welcome Perry. I'd read it for you but at the moment I have a lot I'm doing the same for, so I'll have to say no at the moment, I'm sorry...

Hopefully others out there can help.

Perry Gamsby | 23 comments No worries, I figured you'd have a long line up of waiting books, I know I have. This is one reason why I value and appreciate reviews. Not for the (hopefully)kind words but because out of all the things they could have done with their precious time, they read my book and then uploaded a review.

Thanks Perry - I will get that all down to you over the next few days. As for diversity on your site, I'll have a think and let you know. Cheers, David.

Perry Gamsby | 23 comments David, diversity is the key. So long as it is well written I am open to anything. We have an Adult Only area where I place items that are best not read by minors. I won't publish pornography, but hard hitting reality pieces, even erotica is ok. I haven't had any problems so far, most people know what is appropriate, even if it is edgy.

The reading public like all sorts of genre, while most of us writers only write in one or two. Offering a wide range of genre attracts a wider range of reader and helps us all.
