Lonely Reader For me it depends on how the character looks and his personality. Here im talking about Pronce Maxon 'cause The Selection is being chosen to become his wife.
Yes I would like to be part of The Selection 'cause who doesn't like Royalty?
And Maxon is sweet and caring and he seems like he'd do anything for you.

Katie It's not really your choice or anything, but if I was struggling to survive I might try, of do what America did in the first book and made friends with Maxon so she could stay until he picked somebody else. That would get my family some money at least.

Sara No way. I don't want to be royalty.

Iris I think it'd be cool i guess but it depends on the prince how he acted and all that

Sydney Yes!!!!!! Ive always kinda wondered what it would be like

chinami depends on the prince

message 7: by Kat (new) - added it

Kat Gale If I wasn't already in love with someone, yes I would, because I would not eschew the opportunity to be able to make a positive difference in the world.

Oksana Uskova No, a lot of responsibility.

Angeline Joseph Nope. I am my own person. No prince for me.

message 10: by Emma (last edited Jan 18, 2014 01:11PM) (new)

Emma No. Too many social aspects to it. Too much national attention and beauty-pagent stuff

katie Uhhhhh.... Nope. Not even close

Chloe Armstrong Well I have wondered, as has every little girl, if maybe growing up is taking away the child inside me, so yes I would want to be in the selection to hold on to the little girl that's inside of every girl who's growing up. Who hasn't dreamt, if only briefly about being royalty, living in a world where seemingly nothing could possibly go wrong. The Selection would be like an old habit that you thought you had kicked when really, you just pushed it away because it seemed childish. UNLEASH the childishness!

Storm Arashi It'd depend I guess... Honestly I like wearing pants too much to wear dresses 24/7....And if anything happened to my parents while I was gone I'd NEVER forgive myself.

Natalie Uhh, that is just like saying "do you want to part of the Bachlorette"? And my answer to that would be " heck no".

PurpleTotallySparks Yeah!I want to be part of the selection if it means marrying Prince Maxon. And who doesnt want luxuries and all those royalty stuff right.?.Lol

Sydney I think it would be interesting. If I had the choice to participate, I'd say yes. Who knows what would happen and what would be learned.

Storm Arashi ....Actually...I'd totally be in the Selection if I was allowed to kick King Clarkson in the nuts. THEN I'd be all for it!

Night Storm wrote: "....Actually...I'd totally be in the Selection if I was allowed to kick King Clarkson in the nuts. THEN I'd be all for it!"

LOL I laughed when I read this comment!

XD Hehe that'd be my only incentive.

Maybe, if I was really interested in the prince, or I was in a really desperate situation.

Midnight S No. If I get to close to the prince and ended up getting sent home, I don't know if my heart could take that.

Night Midnight wrote: "No. If I get to close to the prince and ended up getting sent home, I don't know if my heart could take that."

Why?

Have you read the Queen yet?

Midnight S Night wrote: "Midnight wrote: "No. If I get to close to the prince and ended up getting sent home, I don't know if my heart could take that."

Why?"

What if you were close friends and you had to leave each other FOREVER!!!

Midnight S Night wrote: "Midnight wrote: "No. If I get to close to the prince and ended up getting sent home, I don't know if my heart could take that."

Do not question me

Joanna Yes! That is a chance of a lifetime. I wonder how it feels like to be a princess. When I got kicked out, I think I have given enough help for my family as well.

True true

Night Very true. That would be my incentive.

Maddie Yes! Being a princess, the chance to marry a prince? If I was in a relationship with someone, then no. It'd be a great experience but if I was really in love or liked another person and they liked me back, then probably not. This whole comment is confusing, but oh well.

Night ♥♡ Maddie ♡♥ wrote: "Yes! Being a princess, the chance to marry a prince? If I was in a relationship with someone, then no. It'd be a great experience but if I was really in love or liked another person and they liked ..."

It's understandable though.

Bryn If I was in a lower class and worried about having enough to eat, I would like to participate so they could increase in class. But I wouldn't want to have the restrictions on my life which the princess would have so I wouldn't want to win. It would be great to make friends with the other girls, and I might actually be able to do that since I wouldn't be trying to win.

Similarly to America?

She never wanted it so she was perfect "Queen" material.

Varsha I think I would do it for my family, but it depends on the prince. I've always wanted to wear a fancy dress, like America does everyday.
Being Queen is a lot of responsibility, so I would like to be part of the Selection, just maybe not win?

Lara I feel like I wouldn't do so well under all that pressure, with everyone watching my every move, judging me and all that. However, it might be nice to live in a castle and wear ball gowns and meet a prince.

Chloe Armstrong Lara wrote: "I feel like I wouldn't do so well under all that pressure, with everyone watching my every move, judging me and all that. However, it might be nice to live in a castle and wear ball gowns and meet ..."

I guess so but I still would want to be a princess and be in the selection.

You get to see into the lives of people you'd never meet.

Yeah that's totally cool. With the castes and everything. The diversity there is crazy. Too bad that to be different or poor is to be a loser. That would be a HUGE change from om being like a six or a seven.

I think personally that the selection process if done fairly is a good idea. For guys and girls. I can't wait for the heir.

Diane Never!

Night Diane wrote: "Never!"

Oh okay. Would you even consider it? If it means your family would be helped by the process?

Muse-ic ♬ Depends. See if it was Maxon? 100% yes.
If I didn't know the prince, then I would go get a feel for his personality. If he turns out to be a jerk or someone who is prideful and looking to take advantage of every girl he meets, then I would ask to leave. If that kind of Prince refuses to let anyone go as a request, then i just slap someone to kick myself out of the Selection, and act like the old Celeste...except more publicly ^^

The question was would I want to and the answer is no I would not want to at all.
I guess I would consider it if there was no other hope for my family. I liked the book but just the thought of that kind of thing offends me. Like the bachelor or bachelorette. If I ended up in the selection I would probably get eliminated pretty quick.

Night Would you like to try.

Ayumi I would like to try. I'd probably fail though. I'm too bold.

Night Me too.

Ayumi Storm wrote: "....Actually...I'd totally be in the Selection if I was allowed to kick King Clarkson in the nuts. THEN I'd be all for it!"
I completely agree.

I think everyone wants to kick King Clarkson.

Sara This book should really become a movie

Night Sara wrote: "This book should really become a movie"

I agree. But made into two movies not three.
