My husband said that the audiobooks for the sookie stackhouse series were really amazing. He is obsessed with audiobooks. LOL He gets very excited when he finds one that translates to audiobook well.
Have you watched True Blood?
Have you watched True Blood?

I am hooked on True Blood. It is different from the books but still great!

I love the show! It is a lot more graphic than I expected for a tv show. It is different from the books, but most people say that it doesnt irritate them...I think you'd like it.
I don't subscribe to showtime either. You can download the episodes from some websites, but you have to pay. The first season I just got online, and a video store. :)

True blood is good but not great in my opinion. If I didn't love the series as much I would hate the show I would have to say.. I don't have HBO but i bought season 1.. I hope season 2 is more promising.

I'm also watching the TV show, and now with the 2nd season and with some details deviating from the book plotline, have decided to just enjoy the show and stop comparing it to the books.

As far as the show goes.... I don't know I watched the first season and was kinda dissappointed. I really hate Bill in the show thats for sure. Um wasn't crazy about Sam either. My joy of the show I would say is all Eric.... love him.

When I first started reading these books I HATED Bill. Even before I knew he was a jerk. I don't like Quinn either but alot of people do though.. It'll be cool to see who they pick to play quinn on the show.
It could be just me but does anyone see the similiarites to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Novels in the Sookie books? I thought vampire books were totally ridiculous until I started Dead Until Dark and realized that all the other romance books out there are just as far fetched so why not? I love the vamps now.

I haven't gotten very far into the Sookie Stackhouse series, but I definitely see the similarities to Stephanie Plum. In fact, someone told me I would really like this series because the author's writing is similar to Janet Evanovich!
I rented True Blood for the first time this past weekend and can I just say WOW?! I wasn't expecting nudity or the major sex scenes I saw in the first 2 episodes. That'll teach me to read the DVD covers first! Especially when my teenage daughter is in the room. I had to shut it off and watch it later!

LOL. The first time I watched True Blood, I was sitting on a couch with my husband and my Dad. LOL I had to turn it off! My face was so beat red, and my Dad thought it was so funny that I didn't realize how graphic the show would be. LOL Embarrassing, yet funny!

I watched the fingerpop episode of True Blood and laughed so hard I almost peed my pants, figurtively speaking, so am wanting to read it, it's on order from library.

What is the fingerpop episode?

I've been watching the show, but I just started reading the actual series yesterday! I'm listening to the audiobook. :)

Yes, in the books it is a shocker when Bill turns out to be a butt. Eric starts growing on you after the second book. Before you know it, you're totally in love with Eric and hoping Bill falls into a crack somewhere. Ok. Not really. But Bill is a distant second to Eric! LOL! Sorry to all the Bill fans of the HBO series, but he seems so much more clean cut to me in the books. I just wanted to hold him down and give him a shower and a shave by the 4th episode! I'm sure some of you out there will hate me for saying that. Again, sorry.
I have to say that the little bit I have read so far...I agree that they should have casted Bill differently for the show...

LOL Don't worry he changes his hair in season 2. LOL
