A every interesting read, highly recommended if you are interested in chinese culture & history.

In the meantime I will read The Land Without Shadows or Le pays sans ombre by Abdourahman A. Waberi for Djibouti.

Looks interesting Judy - haven't read one set in the Dominican Republic - on my TBR list now. Be curious on your take when you're done.

I have read that one and I thought it was a good book, although not a comfortable read. (I did not count it towards the challenge either.)

I'm still in Paris and nearly done, but also side tripping in Belgium this one on CD. Well read and interesting so far.
Bonnie - I've been debating whether to put this one on my TBR list but haven't so far since it's rated 3.59. Would be interested in your thoughts when you're finished it.

Headed to Spain with Guernica. Also reading - but not for this challenge - The Witness Wore Red: The 19th Wife Who Brought Polygamous Cult Leaders to Justice.

Sara - Stolen Lives: Twenty Years in a Desert Jail sounds interesting - added it to my TBR list. How did you like Chronicle in Stone?

I was not Wow with it & gave it 3 stars because of it's literature value!

Sara - likewise, I gave it 3 stars as well, although it was a struggle.

Jan - fingers crossed that you'll enjoy it as well. Will be interested in your update when you get to it.

My chicken is Australian, and named after a muse (Aiode), so you obviously mean her but I didn't realise she was into literature and pinching my books. I guess that's what happens when I put Bronte sisters shreddings in the coop.
Haha!
I realised I actually forgot to tell you guys what I made my friends and I for Christmas:
The other friend got the complete Ray Bradbury. I made myself one out of the complete Oscar Wilde

I was envisioning that we would all rock up to a wedding or something with cool literary clutches. But then have realised all the friends we have that may get married have already... I'm sure another occasion with arise.
Why wait for a friend's wedding, create an occasion - it's all about showing off the clutches! :-)
lol or more importantly, showing off the books! SO yes, why my chickens are sleeping on Brontes, Bradbury and Wilde.
