Cherie (crobins0) I am sailing on the high seas with Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin. I just finished Desolation Island and Master and Commander. I just started Post Captain but I see that it is set mostly in England and France. Ar, Maties!

Val I could not get hold of a copy of the book I intended to read for the island of Réunion, so may be forced to read one by Michel Houellebecq.

In the meantime I will read The Land Without Shadows or Le pays sans ombre by Abdourahman A. Waberi for Djibouti.

I have read that one and I thought it was a good book, although not a comfortable read. (I did not count it towards the challenge either.)

Bonnie - I've been debating whether to put this one on my TBR list but haven't so far since it's rated 3.59. Would be interested in your thoughts when you're finished it.

Suzanne | 308 comments I'm currently in Ireland with Booking Passage: We Irish and Americans and loving it! Lynch's prose is so lyrical and moving, and his memoir (I think) will touch a chord in most people.

My chicken is Australian, and named after a muse (Aiode), so you obviously mean her but I didn't realise she was into literature and pinching my books. I guess that's what happens when I put Bronte sisters shreddings in the coop.

I was envisioning that we would all rock up to a wedding or something with cool literary clutches. But then have realised all the friends we have that may get married have already... I'm sure another occasion with arise.
