My niece told me the other day she can read 3 pages a minute. I'm just dumbfounded (and clearly slow...lol)

No joke. I actually just read an article about how it's a dying form of entertainment. If that's true, we're all in a world of hurt.

@Pamela - Haha, thanks! I'm flattered you think so ... I feel like I've been slacking off with my reading lately. :P

@Kristen and Bluemoon - I'm always happy to see kids reading, too. I like reading to my younger siblings when I have the chance, especially because my parents reading to me was one of the best parts of my childhood. :) As for whether reading is "dying out" or not, I feel like there's a lot of mixed opinions on that. It seems like for every article that says no one is reading anymore, there's another article that says people are reading more than ever. I think part of the problem is that so many people use ereaders now, and that takes away from bookstore sales. So while people might still be reading a lot, it might appear that reading is declining since more bookstores are going out of business.

And here is my March list! Still not doing so hot ... I'm 9 books behind. Luckily summer break is coming up pretty soon!

Haha you're right. I'm just really frustrated because I haven't been doing enough reading lately and doing unimportant things instead. I think I just need to set aside more time to read every day. If I still want to reach my goal I'd have to read like 12 books per month for the next four months and ... yeah, I don't think that'll happen. :P

Awww...that doesn't seem true! you've been doing a lot. Definitely cut yourself some slack. I'm personally highly impressed you've read 50 books so far. I'm lucky if I can get one in every two months lately! (as my own list attests)
