have completed the challenge... 39 of 30 books :-) :-)

I'm at 78 out of 150--9 books behind!! We were gone for two weeks at the end of June and I didn't get to read as much on vacation as I thought I would. Will just have to spend a few afternoons on the deck with a cold drink and good book to catch up.

Still 4 ahead - 68 out of 110. I'm going on vacation this month so I may need the cushion. Sometimes it's easy to keep up and sometimes it's not.

I'm 228 out of my challenge of 345. I'm actually 20 some books ahead.

I was 15 books ahead, now down to 13 after I started my vacation. I've bought more books than I can ship back in my suitcases, but I haven't actually had time to read anything yet. Having too much fun with friends and beach! :)

I have completed 41 books out of my goal of 60 for the year. I changed jobs in the spring so I have much less stress and much more reading time! I will probably increase my annual goals for 2015.

I'm 4 behind at 69 out of 125. I know it will get worse before it gets better. I'm moving in a month or so and I'm freaking out!

I am 76 ahead of my posted 75 book challenge. I am at 161%. now. See what a non-healing ankle fracture can do!?

I did, twice, and then I lost my job and then I broke my ankle (I broke it October 15, 2013, and it is what is called a non-union fracture. They are trying a bone stimulating generator on it now.)So should I increase it again? lol ;P

I would, but that's just me. You can always change it again if you need to before December. :-D

Sorry to hear you've had issues!! The bright side is that you did meet your goals and more so. All that reading was probably very comforting for you. It just goes to show you never know what will affect your goals year to year.

It occurred to me only moments ago that we never had our September check-in. I blame it on the 3-day holiday that started the month. :-\

With a little over a week left in September, I am at 80/100 in my challenge -- eight books ahead. Thanks to a disastrous stab at reading Emma at start of the month, I was down to only four books ahead, but have thankfully regained that ground. Only twenty books to go! *gulp*

I'm not doing as good as you Heather, I'm only 7 books ahead ;) Officially at 86/110 and there seems to be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Oops! I made a mistake. I'm only at 23 books. Originally my goal was 72, but I've adjusted down to 36.

Sorry you've had to adjust your goal down, but life does have a way of interfering with our reading. I'm sure you'll make your new goal!

I finished book 48 on September 2, and now I'm reading book 52/48, which the widget says is 106% of my goal and 17 books ahead for the year.

I will be ahead of my goal this year. Currently at 49/60. I was conservative this year because I wasn't sure what the new year would bring me because 2013 was disastrous for meeting my goals.

I'm currently ahead by 11, but I had dipped way down to only 3 ahead while I was on vacation. School holidays just started, so I'm working on clawing my way back up - I want to be finished well before the Christmas holidays start up so I don't feel pressured. :)

I'm at 71% - 2 books behind schedule - too many trips to the dentist!

I know THAT feeling, LOL. I feel that way about a lot of things this time of year, and somehow always end up running to catch up.

I'm one book behind for the moment but I'm reading a 500 pager so I believe I will be further behind shortly. I've been reading on my Kindle exclusively since all my books are finally packed up for the move in a couple of weeks.

Karen M: Those chunky books will do you in almost every time, LOL. I'm sure it won't take you long to catch up after your move.

Time for the "official" October check-in (I didn't forget this month!) . . .


I am 81/100, almost 82, and seven books ahead of my challenge goal. I already have my "Autumn/fall" challenge books picked out, which is a rarity for me. I usually fill in the letters as we go along, LOL. The bulk of them are shorter and/or faster reads than some of my September books, so I am expecting to either stay eight books ahead or go ahead a couple more.

I hope everyone is keeping up with their challenge as we come down to the wire. Can you believe there are only three months left in the year?

89/110 - 7 books ahead!! Estimating right now that I should be done around the end of November or early December if I keep up to my normal pace.

Wow, I thought I read a lot!

At the rate I'm going, rather to my own surprise, I'll be done by the end of October! I'm currently 25 books ahead. Admittedly there are some short stories and novellas in the count, but I did push out from my original 100 to 130 because of it.

I just posted my 300th book. I'm 31 books ahead, which surprises me. Looks like I'll make my goal of 345 long before the end of the year.

Wow, that's incredible, Mary! I am currently only 6-1/2 books ahead of my goal, hoping to keep up the momentum through the end of the year.

Did some catching up - now at 83% - 6 books ahead of schedule. Probably a good place to be, as the holiday seasons tend to use up my reading time. But many congrats to Mary - 300 books and counting!!!

Way to go, BJ -- and I hear you about holidays eating up your time. I need to get moving on designing this year's Christmas card. :-|

I'm at 105 with a goal of 150, so I'm seriously behind. But I have four books that are nearly finished (audio, print copy, e-book). I have a couple of long flights coming up so I think I'll be closing the gap a bit better by the middle of November.

End of October numbers: 89/100 books finished, 6 books ahead of schedule. I am halfway through my current book. Due to being sick (came down with a cold Wednesday night) and too much going on, I did not get much read over the weekend. Only 10-1/2 more books to my goal!

How's everyone else doing with their challenge?

I am a little behind I may scrape the 1001 books list for smaller novellas to catch up.

Holding steady at 8 books ahead - 100/110!

My goal was 50 and I have read 66 this year so far. I set a mini-goal to read 10 classics this year but I don't think I'm going to make that. I've only read 4 so far and I doubt I'll read 6 more before the end of the year; maybe 1 or 2, but not 6.
