The snow falls gently
Like ash from a fire.
Cold is the ground
And slippery is the wire.
Quietly you creep
While the cold world is asleep.
Catching snow flakes
In the palm of your hand.
You watch the sun set
But you don't have a clue.
The bright reds and deep purples
Of the sky in its hue.
Its beautiful but sad
It's cold, dead, harsh and true.
The dark settles in early
And you're entering the fray.
The stars are shinning bright
And you wish they would stay.
But it's too cold outside
To watch the starlight.
It's brisk; the world is frozen
It's winter tonight.

Snow on my doorstep
The crunch under my feet
It is a small vortex
Into another world.
One of Icey wind and fluffy snow,
One where Snowdrops grow.
In this world
That winter creates,
There will be a small man that awaits.
And he will ring a bell,
And he will hold out a can,
And maybe one little cell,
The smallest of cells,
Will change.
And I will give him all my change.

Not the donkey or the guitar.

Winter
Ice and Snow falling
A thick Blanket of snow
Terrible weather
Ice and Snow falling
