2025 Reading Challenge discussion

Let's see how this works. My first challenge on Goodreads and I'm really excited! The first book on my list is Allegiant, the third book in the Divergent series(Veronica Roth)

I got a tiny bit off track and decided to clean my bookshelf up. Imagine my surprise when I found that I have a big pile of unread books! I just started Saving Zasha (R. Barrow) yesterday and finished it a few minutes ago. I would rate it 4* but if I were younger it would've been 5.

The City of Bones, Elite, and Hollow City are on my "reading" list

so how many have u read? 4? I'm confused. lol

I got a bit confused there too! I've read 4 so far and I'm in the middle of 12 or 13 other books.

I've read Not a Drop to Drink, Saving Zasha, The Selection, and The 5th Wave.

I think the next book I'll finish is Ashfall or The City of Bones.

You have 12 or 13 books on the go?! I have 4 books on the go right now and feel like it is a lot. I can handle reading a few books at the same time but then I feel like it takes forever to finish books. How do you handle 12 or 13? Do you tend to focus more on a few or do you read them all equally?

geez girl! i have 3 books im reading right now and i keep forgetting where im reading 2 of them on ( i have 2 nooks)

I'll usually start a book, see another interesting one (or 10) to start. Usually I find myself reading books in series and finish on a cliff hanger so then I feel obligated to finish the next book. Usually my attention is spread evenly over all of the books but one or two grab my attention more than others. I admit, I do get off track easily but I reached the end of a few series and I can focus on my other books. It's a hard life ;)

The loners (8/20) is done. Also finished Dead River (9/20).

I am currently reading City of Ashes, Red Scarf Girl, Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry, Sarah Bishop, The Fault in Our Stars (for the 4th time) The Maze Runner, The Testing, and I'm taking a whack at some Shakespeare! Wish me luck!

After I finish those above I'll be at 16 (not counting the Shakespeare plays).

Finished City of Ashes (11/20) a few days ago.

Wow, I am impressed - I couldn't keep up with that many books at once!

I'm reading two just now, one in paperback and one on my kindle.

How did you find the City of Ashes?

I've just finished Vampire Academy with my March TBR twin, Olya. Great choice!
