Cozy Mysteries discussion

I am trying to finish my personal challenge (types of cozies) and need a senior sleuth (over 50) and historical (set prior to 1940)and would some input. Is Poirot a senior sleuth? I was in my late teens when I read tons of Agatha Christie and I cannot remember.

I think Poirot would be a senior sleuth, and do a good job, when you write the book, I sure would like to read it.

Agatha Christie's Miss Marple would classify as a senior sleuth, as well as her book featuring Mr. Parker Pyne, and there is also Emily Brightwell's Mrs. Jeffries series, which is a Victorian series set prior to 1940. Also, there is Carola Dunn's Daisy Dalrymple series, set in the 1920's era.
I also agree that Poirot would be a senior sleuth.

Deanna Raybourne also has a historical mystery series.

Deb Baker's Goldie Johnson series is a hoot.

Jeanne M. Dams writes a wonderful cozy series about a 60-something American woman who moved to England and married an English ex-copper. They had both lost their first spouses and have found happiness again with each other, their animals and in solving mysteries. The Body in the Transept is the first book in the series.

She also has another cozy series about a Swedish woman working in a home in Indiana as a servant that takes place at the beginning of the 20th century. Death in Lacquer Red is the first book.
