What book about the Tudors or Tudor England would y'all like to read?

The Queen's Promise by Lyn Andrews and The White Princess by Philippa Gregory.

How about Susan Higgenbothan's new book on The Woodvilles. Mine is coming tomorrow from Amazobn.

I realize after posting that Susan Higginbothans book is more War of the Roses. This leads up to the Tudors reign but precedes it. Maybe for another month.

The Woodvilles are an interesting family and one of the daughters and granddaughters marries into the Tudors.

Yeah, I think that Susan Higginbothan might be more for a side-read, though it (I take it you mean The Woodvilles: The Wars of the Roses and England's Most Infamous Family?) looks really interesting, but not quite Tudor. Unless there's a lot about Elizabeth of York?

The Secret Bride this is a good series

They all sound good :) most are already in my tbr pile.

I'm going to recommend Innocent Traitor by Alison Weir, again.

Suzanna, that is the book I meant. It is brand new so I don't know exactly who is talked about more. I would assume Elizabeth of York would be in it. It is coming via Amazon tomorrow.

What about Elizabeth of York by Alison Weir? Leandro de Lisle new book about the Tudors is very good. Very readable and informative. Tudor: Passion, Manipulation, Murder. The story of England's most notorious royal family.

Wow, this is going to be a tough choice. I really want to read all of these books!
I nominate Mary Boleyn: The Mistress of Kings by Alison Weir and Murder Most Royal by Jean Plaidy.

I recommend Mary Tudor: Princess, Bastard, Queen, by Anne Whitelock.

Hello fellow Tudor lovers. I'd like to nominate The Queen's Captive featuring the two daughters of Henry VIII: Mary I and her half-sister Princess Elizabeth.

Second I'd nominate Blood Between Queens featuring Elizabeth I and her cousin Mary Queen of Scots in their deadly rivalry for the English crown. Both are novels in my Thornleigh Saga.

Carolyn, or anyone else who might already have the Woodville book: how much of it is about the family in the Tudor period, or about Elizabeth of York?

My book didn't come from Amazon yesterday. Must have been the cold weather that got it! As soon as it does I will answer your question.

The Woodvilles looks amazing, but probably not very Tudor-themed. Maybe one month we could do a special-themed group read when we choose a book about the War of the Roses? What do you guys think?

We could do that one month, sure.

I like the idea of the Woodville book. My second choice would be the white princess.
