Caz (caz963) | 17 comments Being a glutton for punishment, I'm back again this year ;)

I didn't quite make it all the way up Mt. Vancouver last year, so I'm setting a more modest goal for 2014.

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments I've managed to read two books I bought in 2013 -

Forbidden Jewel of India by Louise Allen and The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas.

I'm going to try to make a dent in the rather large pile of second-hand paperbacks sitting by my bed this year as well as getting through some of the books that have been sitting on my Kindle for over a year.

Welcome back Caz! Two down--good luck with the rest.

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments With any luck, I'll be at the halfway stage (12 books) by the June checkpoint :)

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments This quarter's reads:

The Devil's Waltz by Anne Stuart
At Your Pleasure by Meredith Duran
To Kiss a Thief by Kate Moore
Marrying The Royal Marine by Carla Kelly
Yours Until Dawn by Teresa Medeiros
Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas (this was an audiobook I've been meaning to listen to for ages!)

With seven last quarter, I'm now two books ahead :)

Forbidden Jewel of India by Louise Allen The Luckiest Lady in London by Sherry Thomas
Fair Shine the Day by Sylvia Thorpe Secrets Of The Night (Malloren, #4) by Jo Beverley Love Is Blind by Lynsay Sands The Leopard Prince (Princes Trilogy, #2) by Elizabeth Hoyt

ETA: I think I mistakenly counted the Kleypas twice - damn!

It is :) With any luck, I'll be able to keep ahead of myself so I don't fall down at the last moment :P

Well, I aimed lower this year. Last year I was three short of target (36) so I thought I'd make it easier this year!

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments Another one down from the big pile of used paperbacks by the bed!

The Heywood Inheritance by Catherine Fellows ] - and I'm about to start another one, so I'm still slightly ahead of target.

message 11: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments I'm slipping a bit now unfortunately! I've only managed another two books in the last couple of months:

The Rules Of Seduction (Rothwell Brothers, #1) by Madeline Hunter and Prospero's Daughter by Nancy Butler .

Plus the audiobook of The Shadow and the Star (Victorian Hearts, #2) by Laura Kinsale , which I think puts me at 17 in total so far.

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments One more book and one more audio down:

Till Next We Meet by Karen Ranney and Firelight (Darkest London, #1) by Kristen Callihan (audio). I'm just starting Provoked (Enlightenment, #1) by Joanna Chambers , which will bring me to 20. Hopefully, I can squeeze in another four titles and make the summit!

message 13: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments Finished Provoked (Enlightenment, #1) by Joanna Chambers and The Burning Sky (The Elemental Trilogy, #1) by Sherry Thomas .

3 more to go!

I can see it - but I still have to get there!

One more book down: The Christmas Spirit by Patricia Wynn

almost there!

message 17: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments Just finished Under the Mistletoe by Mary Balogh , another Christmassy title. That leaves one more to go which I'm sure I'll manage by the end of the year.

Phew!

message 18: by Caz (new)

Caz (caz963) | 17 comments My final title is Captives of the Night (Scoundrels, #2) by Loretta Chase by Loretta Chase. I've had the ebook for a while, but a new audio version came out just before Christmas, so I listened to that.

I do tend to use audiobooks as a way of getting through my TBR pile sometimes, especially when they're of older titles or in long-running series when I haven't had time to read the earlier books.

Anyway, if that one counts, that's my 24 and I've scaled Mont Blanc!
