Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments I was short by 10 books last year, so I am really motivated to complete the challenge this year!

Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments 1/50 Divergent - So I caved in for a quick read. Overall, OK plot. Although nothing beats Hunger Games so far for a dystopian series. On to my next one!

Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments 2/50 - Insurgent - book 2 of divergent series. Disappointed by this book. Kinda drag, confusing and plot was weak. It was simply laying the ground for the next book. Which I have no desire to read.

Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments 3/50 - Five people you meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. Beautifully written, lots of deep messages. Loved it.

Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments 4/50 - Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? - quick read, and the author kept it real, which was worth reading about. She had some great insights about life, how to be successful, etc. Some details were boring, but overall a good read.

I read this last year and it made me appreciate Mindy Kaling a lot more as an actress, she really does keep it real!

Khadija Ahmed | 9 comments 5/5 - The Lowland - Overall OK book. Lahiri took up too many themes for the book I felt. She went off tangentially each time and I wondered many times where the story would go. I'd have loved for her to discuss the naxalbaris, and the life of a naxal upclose. The second half of the book was far more interesting though. And it did have a good ending :))
