Ulysses Dietz | 2007 comments I liked this a great deal. Fee and Ash were well drawn, the story built a slow simmer (showing Ash's mounting frustration with Fee's reticence), and the emotional presentation was authentic and palpable. Nice writing. Good characters. Presence of family important, and I love that in a book.

I've personally always been a Fee-type person, although I'm not a geek. Now, my husband is a geek, a computer code-writer, and I kept trying out the terms on him (like RTFM) and he knew them all. So, while both my hubby and I were never party boys, were never into casual sex, I am not sure I'm totally comfortable with the clear-cut "triumph of true lover over random hook-ups" premise. It suits my personality and my history, but I try not to judge based on my own personal leanings.

On the other hand, it is a story about Ash's shift from promiscuous to monogamous through the power of his love for a single other. I can buy that. I wish, however, that his friendship, say, with Ty, had allowed for another viewpoint (unless there's a sequel coming...).
