Lord Tenebrae (lordtenebrae) | 3 comments Hi I've lost a reference to a book about human sounds - making whistles, clicks, bird and animal sounds etc using the voice and other body parts. It was by some male from ?West Coast USA who has been on TV and Radio and was some sort of entertainer. He had a considerable repertoire of sounds - in the hundreds. I cannot now recreate the search terms used to find it (ive really tried a lot). He may have produced more than one book on the subject.
Thanks for any suggestion. LT

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Was this a book geared towards children or adults?
How many years ago did you read this book?

Serendi Keith Terry does a lot of sounds. Looks like his only book is a short flipbook, but he might be a place to start. (I initially thought of Bobby McFerrin, but he doesn't really fit either.)

Here's a Wikipedia article on body percussion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_per...

Lord Tenebrae (lordtenebrae) | 3 comments Hi, Thanks for these answers - sorry it's not Bobby McFerrin nor Keith Terry. To clarify - I've not read the book, I've only seen it during a search on ABE/Amazon/Google/eBay (not sure which now - thats the most likely order). it appeared to be for young adults/teenage - it wasnt highbrow but also not for infants. The fairly colorful cover had an image of the man on it. I suspect it was published in the 90's or early 00's, though possibly as early as the 80's. I have a suspicion(folk memory?) that he was based in California.
