Tiana’s Lit Talk | 6 comments Is there anyone else that preordered from Amazon that did not receive their copy today?

Angela M Tiana,
I did get mine but initially there was a problem . I got an e- mail from Amazon this morning saying there was a problem processing the order . I followed the link they gave and pretty much had to place the order but I got it immediately on my kindle after that .

May (mayzie) | 589 comments I'm trying again, now

Tiana’s Lit Talk | 6 comments The only information I find on UPS (per tracking number) is that the package left the facility on January 5th. I'm going to check for an update in the morning and contact Amazon at that point. Thanks ladies!

Babs | 3 comments I am really behind. I didn't know this was Oprah's pick til five minutes ago and I didn't know the book came out yesterday. Husband gone now to pick it up at BAM. Have you ever waited on something and then let it slip right by you? Way to start a new year I guess :)

Tiana’s Lit Talk | 6 comments You'll start before me. My order is sitting in IL somewhere and I preordered on December 10th. I'm going to avoid the discussion until I have it.

I am so sorry, Tiana. I've never had that happen with amazon but did with another place. It is so frustrating especially when you're going to be in a discussion on it. I have to finish what I'm reading first so maybe we'll start together :)

Tiana’s Lit Talk | 6 comments Neither have I and I order with them quite often. I hope it reaches me by week's end.

Tiana’s Lit Talk | 6 comments It finally arrived today. Going to finish up the books I'm reading and start this weekend. :-)

Julie (juliead) | 4 comments OK, this book is AWESOME!! Had the luxury of an opportunity to read it in 2 days, and want to know whether anyone else is into it yet? Don't want to be a 'spoiler', so will say that IN GENERAL I find the characters, historical and fictional both, are believable and their (born-into) dilemmas are heart wrenching! Yet, we see that the power of the mind, that is, the ability of the mind to create and heal and change, even in such harrowing circumstances, is awe inspiring. Kudos to Sue Monk Kidd for telling this sweeping story of a historically painful, twisted time of our country's formation!!

I have started it, but wish I had the time to finish quickly. I hate when i have to put it down. Right now, I'm just at the part where (view spoiler) I can't wait to finish it. I have already cried once!
