Short and sweet. This is my book and it's definitely fantasy, though more in the realm of YA and modern.


Derek Agons Slays A Dragon
The earth just shook, but you knew it was coming. It's been happening a lot as of late. Monsoons, earthquakes, all sorts of natural disasters. If only you knew the truth.

Derek Agons knows the truth. He can't help it. After picking up a glowing book in a parking lot off of a talking cat, nothing has been the same. You see, the book is the prized possession of a blood thirsty dragon currently destroying the world to get it back and Derek has just been chosen as the book's champion and savior.

Now the high school junior must traverse modern day America as he gets crossed and double crossed in search of the beast. Aided by a furiously curious talking cat, Derek must uncover a hidden world deep within his own, filled with an ancient order of talking animals and a mysterious girl who keeps the world turning.

All of that, of course, plus the evil dragon that he must slay to keep the world from ending.
