A World Without Sun discussion

"Well of course. Who woul like flowers?" She asked.

He shrugged. "Weird people. What's your favorite flower?" He asked, just taking that as his turn again.

"Amaryllis... Yours?"

He smiled and nodded. He made a mental note to get her some. "Probably a daisy." He replied shrugging. "I have my reasons for that one. Anyway...when is your birthday?"

"Um... April 15th," she replied then turned slightly facing him. "What's the reason?"

He grinned. April 15th. He'd have to remember that. He held up two fingers. "One, they have such a simplicity about them that is so beautiful. Two, they were my mom's favorite." He put a finger down with each reason. "If you could change your name, what would you change it to?"

She thought for a second. "Lilly? No.... I don't know! I love my name.. Esperanza.. It's unique.. What about you?@

He laughed softly. "Ziggy! Because it's weird and I haven't met anyone named that." He told her with a shrug. "Do you like any kind of musical?"

"I love music really! I like all of it. Well not ALL but most!" She grinned. "And I know you do!" She added. "Where did you learn to song?"

He shrugged. "Just listened to about of music and started singing along. Nobody ever taught me." He shrugged. "Favorite kind of music?"

"I'm... Uh... Don't have a favorite.." She blushed. "Um I take it you haven't had a first kiss?"

He shook his head. "Nope. I'm a virgin in all possible ways! What about you, darling?"

She blushed. Good to know... She giggled and played slightly with her hair. "The same, have to save it for the right someone..." She nodded

He nodded in agreement. "Exactly! It had to be right and special." He sighed softly and shook his head. "I feel bad for the breeders."

Espy sighed. "Yes..." She nodded. "My mother was one.." She whispered

Jack sighed softly and nodded. "So was mine. My dad was her supervisor. He helped her escape."

"So romantic..." She whispered

He smiled and nodded. "It's totally one of those love stories that almost belong to Hollywood."

She nodded and leaned back yawning.. "You oaky to drive home this late?" She asked

He shrugged and stood up. "I should be."

"You sure?" She stood before walking over. "Here's my number. Call me when you make just so... I know you're okay.."

He smiled and hugged her tightly. "Thank you for the wonderful day. I'll be sure to call you. Can I see you again tomorrow?" He asked her, looking hopeful.

Espy smiled side ways. "We will see," a little twinkle in her eyes

Jack bit his lip softly and sighed. He poked her nose and glared playfully. "You better not get my hopes up."

"I will not... I do not see why you would like to see me so bad... I'm nt that great.."

He rolled his eyes. "That's because you aren't looking at you through my eyes." He sighed and turned towards the door. "Well...hopefully see ya later."

She smiled. "Well I have to see you tomorrow for reasons.." She grinned. Kissed his cheek. "Thanks for the ride.. Drive safe okay..".

His eyes widened slightly when he left her soft lips on his cheek. He grinned at her and nodded. "Well...whatever those reasons are, I'm thankful for them." He looked down at himself, his eyes widening again. "Are my clothes done?" He asked, remembering his clothes were in the dryer.

"Well... You should leave!" She blurted out. Then she could actually have a reason to go to him tomorrow. She could bring his clothes to him

He bit his lip softly at her suddeness to get rid of him. "Oh...uh...yeah...I'll call you when I get home..." He murmured, turning towards the door again.

He blushed. That so came out wrong!!! "Thanks for the company!" She grinned.

He waved and smiled slightly. "Anytime!" He called over his shoulder as he opened the door.

She walked over looking up at him and smiling. "Goodnight!"

He quickly hugged her and kissed the top of her head. "Goodnight. See ya tomorrow!" He let go and hurried over to his truck, blushing slightly.

She watched him. Smiling.

He hopped into his truck and put the keys in the ignition. He waved at her as he pulled away from her house.

She waved back then slowly used the door. Her heart flipping.

He started fidgeting with his phone as he drive towards his place at HQ.

She sighed and walked to her room. She looked up. Why was she feeling like this...?

Jack couldn't help but grin every time he thought of Espy. She was beautiful. She was smart. She was purely amazing. He was just nervous she didn't actually like him.

She curled up looking at her phone nervously.

After about a half hour, Jack finally made it home. He picked up his phone and dialed in Espy's number, pressing the call button after taking a deep breath.

Espy picked it up quickly. "Hello?" She askex

Jack sighed in relief when he heard Espy's voice on the other line. "Hello dear. Just checking in to tell you I made it home safely."

She sighed with relief and smiled. "Good! Very good!"

He smiled and nodded. "Yes indeed. It would severely suck if I didn't."

"Yes! Especially would for me!" She nodded laying back down.

"And why's that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow even though she couldn't see him.

"Well reasons..."
She blushed. One reason was he was the first person she actually had a real conversation with in three years!

He laughed softly. "Hey! No secrets! You must tell me!" He demanded playfully, grinning from ear to ear.
