A while ago, the Mods were kind enough to send me two links, repeatedly, until I worked out a way to keep them that works for me.
The two links automatically take me into GR’s, and one shows me all the threads I’ve started. The other shows me all the threads I’ve commented on.
I kept losing them until I opened a new ‘GR’s Note’ on my phone, and pinned it to the top of the page, so it’s always right there with both links ready to go.
The one thing that’s kept being a problem for me is when I see someone else’s thread and later find a book that might match it. I haven’t always commented on their thread, or sometimes it doesn’t stand out in all my comments, so have no way to find it.
Now, if I’m sure I either want to follow a thread or think I’ve seen the book they are looking for somewhere, but can’t find it now, I go to the bottom of their thread, hit the ‘copy topic url’ and then add it to my GR’s note with a quick description that makes sense to me.
Also, for the threads I haven’t done this with and have now found what I think is the book they are looking for, but can’t find their thread, I list the book in this note, so that if I ever see it pop up again, I won’t be trying to remember that book I thought of months ago.

ok here goes

You can find your requests by clicking "My Group Topics" on our Group Homepage, in the right-hand column (above the "Search discussion posts" box). This only works on the full Desktop website and Mobile website (not the app). Here’s a quick link for you – https://www.goodreads.com/group/topic...

Making a comment to access old posts...

It's best to use the website rather than the app for groups in my experience. Here is your post:

- Did you join a smallish group? You can search their Members list.
- Did you write a book review with a precise phrase you can remember? You can try a Google search. For example:
site:goodreads.com/review/show/ "barbara" "title of book" "exact phrase"

You can type "bump." You may bump your thread after 30 days of inactivity - i.e., 30 days after the most recent comment in the thread.

Thanks!

Hi I have two questions:
1. I read instructions about how to bump one's original request but I have been unable to do so. 2. I haven't been vigilant in tracking responses to my post but the comments/responses I have read seem to be about other people's posts, not mine.
I am sorry about these basic questions but I guess I am still not well versed on how the group works. Thank you kindly in advance for any guidance you may be able to provide.

Memma, you only have one query (thread) in the group. Meaning one thread you yourself have started. It's here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
It is solved.
The way to bump your query is just post a new comment. The comment can say "Bump" or "still looking", etc.
I see now that you tried to bump your thread by adding new material to the first post in the thread. That doesn't bump a thread. Only adding a NEW comment at the bottom of the thread bumps the thread (brings it to the top of the queue).

Natalie, I'm not sure what you're doing but this is a thread that shouldn't be bumped since it's a general information thread.

Is this possible?
I'll often see a post and feel pretty sure I have seen, and am following, another thread with a similar description, and thus possibly the same book.
So then I want to review all the threads I'm following, to see if I can find the one I'm remembering.
Possible? Help?
