Shadow1234 | 6 comments Hey everyone!
I read a book 1 or 2 years ago (another book I was reading yesterday reminded me of it) but I just can't remember the title or the author and it's driving me crazy :) so I thought I'd ask and maybe someone here knows it
I've read it a while ago but only remember a bit about the storyline:
it was a paranormal romance (for the main characters let's go with 'the guy' and 'the girl' - cause it would be just too easy to find it if I'd recall their names :S)
the guy was a bit older then the girl, and went away for a while to London (I think)and the story starts when he arrives back
the girl has a secret of course: a woman appears in her room and wants her to find an amulet/crystal/necklace of some sort
(again don't remember much about the woman, I think she was of some other species and one they were not so fond of)
the girl felt that the guy abandoned her when he went away but they started to get closer to each other and just when they were about to sleep together for the first time (which was her first time by the way) she started to turn to mist (which was a bad thing, aside from obvious reasons :D, it signaled that maybe she was a halfling, related to the shebitch who wanted her to find the thingy)
the girl left the room in a hurry, the guy was worried that he was rough with her or hurt her....and basically this is all I remember, I know it's irritatingly vague but I really liked it and wanted to find the author and read other books from her....so I though it was worth a shot
(oh, and the heroine played the piano :D that's quite a minor detail but it's something)
thanks in advance
Shadow

no, she wasn't a were, just some sort of shifter I think (I don't know what kind of creature her other parent was but not werewolf...or something "traditional" like that and that's why I don't remember what they were called)
btw I was reading Geissinger's Night Prowler series and that's reminded me of this book somehow
but thanks anyway ;)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Could it be one of Pamela Palmer's books? I haven't read all the Feral Warrior books, but she has characters known as Ilinas whose natural state, I believe, is mist.

yey :D yes it was Hearts Untamed by Pamela Palmer (3.5 in the Feral Warrior series) I couldn't find it on my e-reader as I read it in the Bitten by Cupid anthology and I didn't remember it was a short story)
Thank you so much Lisarenee ;)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Glad I could help. I hadn't read the anthology yet but I kept thinking that the overall story sounded familiar.
