As it is now 2014 I feel (and have been approached by some members about this) that we require a new challenge for the group. As such I would like to ask whether anyone has any ideas that could possibly be used.

One idea I do have is to have two challenges and make one a 1001 Books Challenge. The other to be determined afterwards. This thread will only remain open for the next few days - so you are aware...

I like the idea of the 1001 Books Challenge as one of the challenges for our group. Some other choices could be:

Alphabet Challenge (A book for each letter of the alphabet)
or
Number Challenge (Read a book with a numerical number in the title either in order or random)
or
Author Challenge (Read all the books an author has written)
or
Color Challenge (Read books with a color named in the title)

I think having more than two would be a logistical challenge. So I'd have to narrow down and work out what of the other challenges would work best...

I like the alphabet challenge! I'm sort of already doing it on my own

how about the alphabet challenge...but using male/female characters....one book per character....total 52 books
or..using author/title...again one book per lettre...total 52 books
