Amanda (randymandy) | 467 comments Every single year, I end up eating 400,000 girl scout cookies in one day. And I can't NOT buy a box--I was a Girl Scout all the way through high school, so I want to help the girls out. But good grief... Why is it that I have zero willpower??? Right now, a box of Lemonades is staring me down. I'm pretty sure it's going to win.

Jackie (findingjackie) | 214 comments It's just once a year. :)

I have no control when it comes to those cookies. Tagalongs and Samoas control me. I think I'll only have one ...okay two. Before I know it the entire box is gone and I'm cursing myself and looking around for another girl scout selling more. Its a conspiracy!

Robin Swanson | 9 comments Mmmmmmm, Thin Mints sound good right about now. Too bad I don't have any. :(

message 5: by Paige (new)

Paige Anderson | 30 comments Thin Mints and the Lemonade thingies (what are they called?) If I don't know someone selling them, I will hunt them down!

message 6: by Sara (new)

Sara | 53 comments Ohhhh frozen Thin Mints....god, those sound so good after the night I just had at work.

message 7: by Emily (new)

Emily (emikay) | 8 comments I was always a Peanut Butter Patty person. I was in girlscouts for almost ten years, and we used to buy about a hundred boxes a year [no exaggeration] and we'd keep them in the freezer so they would last all year.

I still volunteer at my local girl scout camp, and when they don't know what to do for desert, they whip the cookies. =] It's great.

Robin Swanson | 9 comments Our Dairy Queen has Thin Mint Blizzards in the fall at cookie time. I've never had one, but I can't imagine that they taste bad, LOL!

message 9: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) | 467 comments That is genius...

message 10: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Ladd (ashleyladd) | 6 comments I absolutely love the thin mints. Plus, I was a Girl Scout, too. I always want to help them. The girls are so cute.

I try to just eat a couple at a time and give the rest to my kids. But this year, I didn't have very good will power.

message 11: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Ladd (ashleyladd) | 6 comments My CEO's grand-niece sells them every year at work. Her mother, the CEO's niece, works in my department. So how can I not buy them? Fortunately, I love them and so do my kids.

message 12: by Rolana (new)

Rolana | 22 comments Well, I didn't buy any this year. There's a first time for everything. The thin mints are the only one's that still taste the same to me. They just don't taste as good to me anymore or my taste buds have matured as I have. LOL!

Carrie (missfryer) | 533 comments frozen thin mints...YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY~~~

message 14: by Jaymie (new)

Jaymie | 8 comments I just ate a whole sleeve of the peanut butter sandwich ones. Darn you Girl Scout Bakers!

message 15: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) | 467 comments hee hee hee!!! I know. All of them are simply irresistable

message 16: by Angela (new)

Angela Avery | 8 comments Frozen thin mints are the best of all Girl Scout cookies! And who cares how much sugar and all that "bad" stuff people say are in them. They support an awesome cause- which is getting girls out there doing something fun. I say, bring on the Tagalongs, Peanut Butter, and Thin Mints- in one sitting!

message 17: by Abby (new)

Abby Frozen thin mints have no competition. Yum. We have 3 boxes of them, (2 are already in the freezer), and 5 boxes of Caramel Delites sitting in a giant box on the table. It's terrible and wonderful at the same time!

message 18: by Beth (new)

Beth Larabee | 52 comments Another vote for the thin mints!!!YEA!!!

message 19: by Jo (new)

Jo Samoas are just perfect as are frozen thin mints. Good News...no longer made with hydrogonated blah blah blah...

message 20: by Beth (new)

Beth Larabee | 52 comments Have you seen the girl scout cookies ice cream? I think it is Edy's that is putting it out as a special. I haven't tried it but it looks yummy!!!

message 21: by MJ (new)

MJ I am a slave to Thin mints.

message 22: by Kate (new)

Kate | 106 comments Samoas rock. I chuck any diet I am on out the window when I can get my hands on a box. Too bad I didn't get any this year.

And Thin Mints frozen are the best.

message 23: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Hickman (bkread2) | 233 comments I must be the ONLY freak that actually does not like Girl Scout cookies. NOw CampFire chocolates, Boy Scouts popcorn or even FFA Blue & Gold sausages get out of my WAY!!!! I do buy the GS cookies I just give them away. What can I do a friend of mine child was selling them. I just openthe box and leave them on my desk. I do payroll & benefits for over 250 people...they are always coming by my desk. It takes only 2 minutes from opening candy or any other junk food and it disappears!! However no one is brave enough to eat Resse's cups from my desk but Avery the dock manager!! Those I do not share!!

message 24: by MJ (new)

MJ Shaz,
That is the saddest thing I have ever read!!!!

Next year I'm taking up a collection to send you atleast ONE box of girl scout cookies. Everyone should experience them once. The question then becomes what kind.
mmmmm tagalongs
mmmmm samoas
mmmmm thin mints

hmmmm if a few were missing from your box it would be the postman, NOT me ;) ;) who ate them.

message 26: by MJ (new)

MJ We should really send some cookies to Shazzy. It is so sad that she didnt even have a school locker!!!!

message 27: by Inky (new)

Inky | 19 comments Shazzy, when Girl Scout season comes along again, I'm committed to sending you a box of your choice. I sold them as a Scout. I buy them now from my nieces. My very last box of Thin Mints is in the freezer now, waiting to be eaten with homemade ice cream on the Fourth of July. Minor family tradition.

State your preference or ask for a surprise. I personally have never had a bad girl scout cookie. I never really have a lot of guilt either -- it's for a good cause after all;-)

message 28: by MJ (new)

MJ Well we will all just have to send a box of our favorites

message 29: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 354 comments Boy Scout popcorn?!! What a crock! I bought the cheapest thing I could ($10!) from some scout I didn't know and as it turned out didn't live IN our actual neighborhood. Unbeknownst to me (is that spelled wrong?) it was just a bag of kernals!! It said it came in a little tin so I just assumed it was already popped. Brat. Don't get me wrong, popcorn is a staple in our house and we will pop our own but we were hopping for some bag stuff. :-(
FYI - I've got nothing against the boys....those kaki wool knee socks are sexy! Alrigh, alright, not really. My hubby was a BS so I have to say that.

Oh yeah and GS cookies....they were much better with the politically incorrect names.

Nothing tastes better than taking a bite into political incorrectness!

message 31: by MJ (new)

MJ boy scout popcorn!!!! Just does not have the same ring as girl scout cookies

message 32: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Hickman (bkread2) | 233 comments One of the neighbors kids' who have some involved in both one of them the other day was even selling Amish pastries that come frozen and you just pop in the oven, icee with the pre-prepared icing and eat...ymm I think it might be soccer or something. We get sucked into buying everything from one of their 6 kids (yep...six kids all home schooled till high school) They are sweet kids though. I just cannot imagine 6 of them! But when we had the major ice storms that knocked out power for 3 weeks the oldest boys came over and trimmed the trees etc. (both my parents are handicapped) so I guess I will keep buying all that stuff!!!!

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

No boy scout popcorn or gs cookies here either!

We did have a great little league scammer I mean fund raiser come around the other night.

He had a card and it had scratch spots.. you scratch off a spot and the amount reveals how much YOU get to pay!

How fun is that?? (NOT)
