Jenny (jeoblivion) | 4893 comments According to Flavorwire, snow reads are the new beach reads. Here is their list.
Which ones have you read, and which ones would you like to read? And do you agree with their choice or would you add anything?

And don't get confused, counting isn't flavorwire's strong suit apparently. Despite the headline it is only 19 novels.

Jenny (jeoblivion) | 4893 comments The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Autobiography of Red by Anne Carson (my favourite book read in 2013)
Waiting for the Barbarians by J.M. Coetzee
Middlemarch by George Eliot
Austerlitz by W.G. Sebald

I already have The Secret History, Stoner and Under Milk Wood sitting on my shelf waiting to be read and will inevitably get to Mating at some point, due to my National Book Award Challenge.

Shirley | 4177 comments I like this list. Oh, to have the time to get lot in books, how wonderful!

I've read The Secret History, and East of Eden, will be reading Middlemarch soon (!) and would like to read lots of them, most of them sound great!

Caolán (caolanmurray) | 41 comments Undoubtedly showing my ignorance, the only one I've read from this is 'Middlemarch.' I have however been meaning to read 'The Secret History' for quite a while. I heard them talking about it on BBC Radio 4 a few weeks ago and it sounded intriguing.

Leslie | 16369 comments Okay, here I go! I have only read The Woman in White and Under Milk Wood, although I am listening to The Secret History on BBC Radio 4X (80% done) :)

I will soon be adding Middlemarch to my list!

I haven't read any on this list. I would really like to read Middlemarch and The Woman in White.

Caolán (caolanmurray) | 41 comments I've seen Stoner everywhere lately. I can't walk into my local Waterstones without being confronted with it at least a thousand times* as I walk through the store.

*(Sorry, I love exaggerating.)

Hales | 314 comments There are many on this list I have never heard of. I have read The Secret History and although the content is somewhat disturbing in nature, I did not want to put it down. A book you will think about for a long while afterwards.

I like the sound of Hild has anyone read it?
