Peter Beagle the Author of the Last Unicorn has restore the movie based on his book and is taking it on tour
(http://lastunicorntour.com) all over the country. Until a few nights ago I'd never seen the movie but up on the big screen it looks very good. The book is still funny and great for the kid in all of us.

Good to know about this tour. Thanks. There is also a recent comic book based on the book that is very good.

I'd have to say while the movie has some laughs, it is not a comedy. [spoiler] The unicorn decides to stay a unicorn and not marry the prince. She also knows regret. There is no "and they liver happily ever after" ending. This is as much a story for adults as for kids.

I loved loved this movie as a kid because of the unicorns and the adventure. Then when I thought my son was old enough to like it we wachted and I just bawled all through the end of it. Somehow I totally missed all that mushy stuff as a kid :P I'd love to see it in the theater though!

OMG!!!! I just saw they might be coming to Montréal on Spring! And I was planing to read it for the Once Upon a Time challenge. The little girl inside of me is screaming with excitement!!!

For my money, the Last Unicorn is one of the most beautifully written books that I've read. And I read it first as an adult.
