A World Without Sun discussion

"I don't know!" He groaned and wracked his fingers through his hair. He got up and started pacing around.

Espy curled up and stared at the door

Zanderr sat next to her and wrapped his arms around her.

"Zanderr.." She whispered

"Espy..." He whispered back.

She clung to him. "I'm scared.."

He sighed and held her closer. "I'll protect you."

She clung him.

He kissed her forehead tenderly and lifted her on his lap.

Espy's small body fit into his arms. She tremenled

Zanderr sighed and held her as close as he could to him. He wished this wasn't happening to her.

"What if they come soon..."

"They'll wait awhile. I told them you were sleeping. And I'll fend them off when they come back again." He whispered, hoping it would work.

Espy looked at him. "I... I'll fight back too!"

Zanderr smiled slightly and nodded. "You fight only if they somehow get in your room. Okay?"

She nodded. "Or if they hurt you.."

He laughed slightly and shook his head. "They won't hurt me. And if they do, you can only fight if they get in your room. If not, don't you dare."

Espy looked down.

Zanderr tilted her chin up and looked into her eyes. He tried to smile, then kissed her lips softly.

Espy cupped his cheeks. She had no idea what she would do

Zanderr sighed as he pulled away and continued to look in her eyes.

She was in love with two boys. She was a horrible person!!

He caressed her cheek, before pulling her down so they were both laying down. "I'm sorry Espy..." He whispered, running his fingers through her hair.

She curled up beside him. "Don't be.."

He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her close. "You don't deserve to be here."

Espy laid her head on his chest. "Why me?"

Zanderr sighed and shook his head. "I honestly have no idea."

"They were watching me! They told em!"

"Who was watching you?" He asked in confusion.

"The men.." She whisperes

"Ohh...." Zanderr sighed and kissed the back of her neck. "I'm so sorry. You don't deserve this."

She curle sup into him

He closed his eyes as he held her close.

She slowly fell asleep again

He started to drift to sleep, before forcing his eyes open. He had to make sure he was on alert in case the men came back.

Espy jumped walking up. Her heart racing

Zanderr was laying there, holding her close. He looked tired, but he was forcing himself to stay awake. He glanced down at her when she jumped and started stroking her hair. "Shh...it's okay..." He whispered.

She trembled and curled up in him again. "Oh zanderr!"

He kissed the top of her head. "What's wrong?" He whispered, still stroking her hair.

"Bad dream!"

Zanderr nodded and sighed. "Want to tell me about it?"

Espy trembled. "It was bad.."

Zanderr held her closer. "Okay. Well...if you ever want to tell me...I'm here."

She nodded and kissed his cheek

He smiled slightly and kissed her forehead.

She closed her eyes again

He rested his chin on top of her head and sighed softly.
