When we start reading this are we just going to read at our own pace or set an amount to read each day?

I'm pretty open.

which way works best for you?

I find that if we set an amount of chapters to come back at, then we can read at our own rate and still comment on each other's posts

but we can also set an amount each day so we are at the same spot.

I say we do set chapters for each day or week if that's okay

I'm excited too. This book has been sitting on my shelf for a while now and I am glad I am finally getting around and making time to read it now :)

I got this book a while ago and I want to read it but I will have to see if I can finish some of my other books before the 5th

I think coming back after every so many chapters and posting is better. That way everyone can read at their own pace.

Okay Vicki. How many chapters should we read at a time before coming here to talk about it and how long should we read them before having to talk about it?

Generally speaking we read about 5 chapters and "report" back, but it depends on how long the chapters are. Sometimes there aren't chapters per se, so it depends. If the chapters are very short, we might come back every 10. Sometimes I wait if not much is happening. It's quite open, no hard-core rules.

Okay. This would be my first buddy read so I really don't know how these work but I am excited :)

I'm excited for you! The buddy reads are so fun and sometimes we get in some really good discussions. It depends on how "deep" or controversial the book is or how swoon-worthy the characters are. LOL

Mainly it's about sharing with others who have a love of books, reading, and talking about what we've read.

Well I am use to discussions. In high school I did reading discussions all the time for English class. And now I am taking a college class intro to lit and it's online and we do mainly discussions on passages we read in our textbook
Anyway though this will be a lot more fun :) I can't wait to start this book!!

so how many chapters a week will we be reading of this book? Are we going to read 5 chapters a week?

I'm okay with whatever everyone else wants to do. I don't have my book yet, so I can't see how many pages 5 chapters is. Sometimes it's only 4-5 pages. Do you have a book to see?

yeah i have the book the chapters i dont think are too long. I am not home right now so I don't have the book with me too see it.
Has anyone started reading it yet? I will probably start it tonight since today is the starting day. I am excited.

look like we have 37 chapters
and looks like they are pretty short (I downloaded the epub version from my library...so i can't tell how many pages everyone else's will be... :P)

I plan to come back every 5 chapters

I actually have time to read today(yay!)
so I plan to try to get as far as I can after I finish another book and start two others. lol :D

I can't even get this one from my library or from its online website or Link+! I'm so disappointed. I might have to go ahead and buy it for my NOOK if I am going to read it.
