The Next Best Book Club discussion

Hi all,

Just joined here yesterday and have been adding my books onto my I own list etc and was wanting to check those books aren't for trade etc? As I really don't want to trade any of my books away cause I love them too much lol :)Or is it just a list to state which books you have? Was just curious about this.

Please help me as I just wanted to check and make sure that nobody could request to trade for them or swap etc as I just love my books too much to do that.

As for more about me I am a huge reader of fantasy books and sometimes pick up a thriller or other type of story and love sitting down when I can for a good read and a chance to lose myself in a book. And I love to sit down when I am not busy in real life to read a book and have a goal this year to hopefully read 40 books for the year! Probably mostly fantasy though lol.

I also joined this site cause as we all do I love books, wanted somewhere I could come to find out what types of books are around and coming out in genres I love and its also nice you have giveaways here to allow readers to review new types of books for the authors which I think is a brilliant idea as it helps out the authors and also gives people an idea of what the book is like before it comes out.

BTW great site you have here and if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

there isn't a formalized trading program for books anymore...so you don't need to worry about there - there used to be a bookswap, but GR did away with it a couple of years ago

Hi rebecca, welcome to the group. If by "great site", you mean great group, well, thank you! I am a little partial to TNBBC since it's my baby :)

If you mean great site as in all of goodreads, well, we certainly can't take credit for that. It's all Otis and his crew!! This group is just a small, small part of what Goodreads has to offer. Groups are run independent of Otis, so they basically belong to the person who created them.

As Dee mentioned there is no bookswapping anymore, and even if it still existed, you could opt not to join the program. So no worries there.
