I have 10 books planned, but I know I probably won't get to them all.

February is a short month and I'm going through some sort of a reader's stump, not a lot has been meeting the eye lately. Do any of you go through that? Maybe it's just me. I'll sign myself up for 4. One book a week?

I can relate, Kisha. I can be fickle, when it comes to what I want to read. I love audiobooks. The stories come to life.

Yes, Kisha - I think almost all readers go through this and then a "magical" book appears and you get your reading groove back.

Hope you find that "magical" book soon.

Yep! Definitely know what you mean. I have been doing uncharacteristically well the last year. This is not my usual pattern AT ALL. My usual pattern is read 5 or 6 really good books, stop reading for MONTHS, and start again. Getting really involved in goodreads groups has help me overcome that.

Count me in too, y'all...I'm cheering for ALL of our challenge participants!! :) I'll be happy just to finish my planned group and buddy reads (for my personal reading). Though I also count the wonderful read-alouds I share with my kiddos and family...anything beyond that is certainly icing on the cake for me!! :)

How is everyone else doing this month? I don't think I will make it to 10 this month. Maybe 5 or 6.

Yeah I'm at 0 shamefully as well. This just isn't my month for books I guess :-(

Gosh! I don't know what's happened. Got some really great books I've BEEN wanting to read all lined up...even had every page planned out but I've gotten off to a very s..l..o..w start! Trying to pick up the pace and keep up. :)

I am also behind - maybe I will blame on how the stars are aligned :)

Have finished two but I am also close to finishing 3 other books - thought I would get it done this week but family events and the Olympics are playing havoc with my time.

The Olympics are a worthy distraction Beverly! My 8 year old loves the snowboarding events and has gotten me into them.

I finally got two on the finished stack!

I'm coming in late on this challenge but I will try to read 6 books this month.

I've completed 2 out of 6 books so far. I have a feeling if I don't stop slacking I won't complete my goal. :/

I'm looking at the calendar and I'm looking at the number of books I have left to read.....and I'm tired. LOL. I'm not going to complete my goal for February.

Anastasia, I have quite a few on my to finish pile as well. At the end of the month I usually finish all my 'currently reading' books and that pushes my #'s up.

You all are doing fine. This is supposed to be fun :0) . Pssst Lulu...reduce your goal. You said you were only going for 10 originally, so YAY! you met your goal already :D. You have already read more this month than most people read all year. LOL

Good idea! I'll go back to 10!!! Now I don't feel so bad. lol

I too will probably not make my challenge of 15 bks for the month. But a challenge is usually a stretch goal so I am ok with keeping that number.

I thought I was doing ok until this week when I have been unable to get much reading done. But we will see. Maybe I can ignore my family this weekend :)

That seems to be the case with me too, I finally finished reading the "currently reading"s I was stuck on and now I feel like I have a shot at meeting my goal. :)

Last Day of February is Friday!!

I know February is a short month, but GEE WHIZ! The extra two or three more days in a month would make a difference for me, especially right now. Our family February calendar was and still is full and my reading calendar for the month (which includes my personal reading and read-alouds with my boys) was just as full! Oh, well...not gonna worry. I'm gonna keep on and see where I end up. :)

Well I'm bummed! my first challenge and I did not make my book goal. Oh well on to the next challenge.

I had couple of standouts for February:

I really enjoyed the majority of my reads this month. My top 3 would have to be:

The Story of Beautiful Girl
Third Life Of Grange Copeland

Anastasia, I love The Picture of Dorian Gray! I have that one on my list to re-read.

It was good, I didn't like Dorian but Wilde crafted an excellent story and I honestly suspect that Dorian's friend Henry (I think that was his name, not the painter, the other one) was really Wilde's mouthpiece in the story. He said some pretty thought-provoking things. It's a deep book. Definitely worth a reread.

Hello Mitzi & Kisha...I'm joining this club too! I'd set (for me) very ambitious reading goals for February...but, no worries! I'm recharging & regrouping for March! Lol! :)
