Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Almost three years ago, Vic started a thread "Need your audiobook details here at Goodreads updated?" It was active until fall of 2013 and had almost 200 posts. Goodreads librarians helped our group with many details such as adding audiobook versions, audiobook covers, etc. Of course, a GR librarian does much more.

I'm starting another thread along those lines. I have the first request.

I can't find Suzanne Brockmann's Do or Die anywhere on Goodreads and it releases 2/04. Can someone help me find it or can a librarian add? And when you add, could you make sure the audio version is included?

Thanks!

ElaineY It is listed:
Do Or Die (Reluctant Heroes #1)
I remember it was listed because I added it to my TBR list when Netgalley sent me the book some time back.

Dawn | 535 comments I couldn't find it under the title or authors name, but it popped up when I searched under "Reluctant Heroes".

Caz (caz963) | 221 comments I often add in audiobook details where they're missing, or I add them as a new edition when they're new - I added the audio for Lord of Scoundrels the other day. I noticed then that there's a new category for Audible Edition, which is useful, as before there was only Audio CD and Audiobook.
I still see confusion over audio formats in listings, though, and frequent duplications.

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Thanks to all of you!

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) I wonder if the title of Do or Die can be changed to just that without the series name as part of the title? Many will find this difficult to locate.

It's strange that it won't come up under an author or title search. I only found it because I searched for it in my bookshelves. I'll PM one of the mods of Goodreads as she's helped me with stuff like this before and ask her to look into it.

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) I'm trying to revive this thread. Do we have any Goodreads librarians out there willing to help us add audio versions when we can't find one at Goodreads?

Me, too!

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Pamela Clare's Ride the Fire. Could you add a cover to all of the audio versions? Here's a link to the audio cover: https://tantor.com/ride-the-fire-pame...

message 14: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Done. Images have to be from Audible/Amazon though because of Goodreads policy.

message 15: by Lea's Audiobooks (new)

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Thanks Lauren! Just wanted to make sure it was the audio image as Amazon doesn't have it until after release. I'll try to remember.

Actually, since Tantor is the publisher, it's an acceptable resource per the manual.

Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Good to know Jonetta. Tantor is one of the few publishers who creates their own cover art for every single audiobook.

I use them frequently for many of the older titles and for the just released ones. They tend to have the artwork available before Amazon.

Thanks Jonetta. I'm always concerned that I'm going to be getting images from an inappropriate source :0)

I know! I always make certain first that they're listed as the publisher. The author's site is also acceptable.

message 21: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 1379 comments actually, it used to be that only the publisher (i.e. Tantor) was the acceptable source - you COULD NOT use amazon/audible because they were distrbutors - but that has since changed

message 22: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 5786 comments Mod
Yeah, that changed with Amazon now being Goodreads' parent. Otherwise, all booksellers are prohibited unless they're also the publisher.

message 23: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 1379 comments personally, I still go with the publisher and/or authors page - since Amazon often has cruddy imports
