Any thoughts on some series I may have missed , or anyone new ? Just reading the second in Across the Universe series from Beth Revis , pretty good .

I'd give Michael Marshall Smith's Only Forward a try. If you like that, then try his Spares and One of Us.

Well, I was going to recommend Snowcrash, but I see you've read it. Maybe Richard Russo's Carlucci books or Hammered by Elizabeth Bear?

Also, I really enjoyed Gone-Away World by Nick Harkaway. It has some elements (i.e., ninjas) that aren't necessarily typical hard sf, but I thought that was just part of the fun...
