Dwarves are stocky bearded folk of the mountains. They were created separately from Elven kind a century after Elves were brought forth. The Dwarves were given life by one of the five Acrors, Huryn. During the beginnings when the Acrors were first introduced to the lands of Aldon, they spit the land. Huryn took to Caper Mountain Range, a large mountainous portion of Aldon, the Acror knowing well that stone is the most immune to destruction. Huryn pieced together the perfect species for the environment he deemed his and set to work in their creation.

They had to be strong, durable, stout. They must know how to handle rock both in carving and destruction just as they must know how to wield fires considering the places Huryn planned for them to make their homes in would receive no light. He gave the lifespan of the species a two-hundred and fifty years to allow them plenty of time to live while also making them treasure their lives' time. Once the species was created, he named them as Dwarves and told them that the mountains and rock where their claim to do with as they please.

The Dwarven kind stayed to the mountains generally, Huryn having created four different Dwarf Clans to ensure the mountains of Aldon held his species wide spread. Being of rock, Dwarves were bound to come across 'special' rock, these being silver, gems, and gold. Their love of rock gave the Dwarves and increased obsession with the special rocks of the world. It was the Dwarven Kind that created the currency of the world. When they would leave their mountain side to do trades of the other species, they would trade their special rocks for goods, and when the others wanted something from the Dwarves, the rocks were traded back. Soon gems, silver, and gold caught on as the form of money that the land of Aldon worked under.

Usually the short are swift, but Dwarves tend to be slower due to their stocky and muscled bodies. What they lack in speed, the Dwarves have in strength and endurance. They tend to be skilled in the usage of heavier weapons. Dwarves are also known for their lower levels of hygiene. Being deep within a mountain or underground tends to keep them from reaching a place where they may wash themsleves. What water they did have generally went towards drinking or cooling iron during forging.

Over the past two thousand years, the Dwarves have seemed to disappear. Most assumed they were just secluding themselves from outsiders, as the Dwarven kind were known to do. But the truth is far worse. The evil of the land that has been slowly manifesting once more clung to the mountains near the beginning, destroying many of the Dwarven kind. The once powerful Kingdoms of the Dwarves have been rendered abandoned by their kind and overtaken with evil creatures. The entrances to the kingdoms were sealed off in attempts to trap the evils. There is but one Dwarven kingdom still protected, and it has began to feel the trickle of evil.
