A Million Guilty Pleasures by C.L. Parker - title starts with M

1 Stars 25.03

This is one of the worst erotic books I have ever read. I hated all the characters in it, they all sounded like bad actors and I was wondering how they got the part. Seriously waist of time!

Silver-Tongued Devil (Sabina Kane, #4) by Jaye Wells

Title/Author: Silver-Tongued DevilbyJaye Wells 4th book in series
Date Finished: 3/25/2014
Rating: ****
Review: I liked this book! I loved the fast pace and look forward to the next and last book of this series....
Now that the threat of war has passed, Sabina Kane is ready to focus on the future. Her relationship with Adam Lazarus is getting stronger and she's helping her sister, Maisie, overcome the trauma of her captivity in New Orleans. Even Giguhl is managing to stay out of trouble thanks to the arrival of Pussy Willow and his new roller derby team. But as much as Sabina wants to feel hopeful about the future, part of her doesn't trust that peace is possible.

Her suspicions are confirmed when a string of sadistic murders threaten to stall treaty negotiations between the mages and the vampires. Sabina pitches in to find the killer, but her investigation soon leads her down dark paths that have her questioning everyone she thought she could trust. And the closer she gets to the killer, the more Sabina begins to suspect this is one foe she may not be able to kill.

Review: Oh snap! Adam's Ex-Wife is back and she's causing trouble! I love this series! Mercy's in a position where she can't just tank and spank the bad guy with the pack. Her pack's not on her side and she's got think before she reacts to Christy's taunting. SO GOOD!!!

Review: I really liked this fast paced series and hated to see it end but the ending was great !!!!
The epic conclusion to the amazing Sabina Kane urban fantasy series.
Sabina Kane is on the hunt. Her prey: Cain, the father of the vampire race and the one who murdered her family and her friends. Unfortunately, Cain is hunting Sabina, too. The one man who holds the key to defeating Cain is, of course, Abel. A mage with secrets to spare and, hopefully, the power to match it. Unfortunately, for Sabina, he's in Rome and may not want to be found.

Sabina sets out for Italy with her friends, Giguhl and Adam Lazarus, to track down the only man who can get her the revenge she hungers for. But will he help her or oppose her? And just who is Abel, really? Worst of all, when Sabina figures out the goddess Lilith has a plan for her-she realizes this trip is getting deadlier by the minute.

As they say: when in Rome-SURVIVE.

A Million Dirty Secrets (Million Dollar Duet, #1) by C.L. Parker
A Million Dirty Secrets by C.L. Parker - 1st book in the series

2 stars 30.03

I started reading this series from the second book and now finished reading the first book. The second book was total waste of time and the first one wasn't that good either. The main character is 24 years old virgin who acts like teenager in some ways and is totally uneducated. I mean you can read a book or two by yourself with out going to college.

Review: I really like this fast pace series and will continue it....
Rule #1: Never get involved with someone who won't be there for you when the sun comes up.

Once bitten, twice shy, and sexy PI Jackie Morrisey wasn't going there again. Vincent Argeneau may be the hottest guy she's ever met, living or dead, but she's here to stop a killer from turning this vampire into dust, not to jump into bed with him.

Rule #2: Never kiss a vampire . . . it can be a pain in the neck.

Okay, so Vincent's had four hundred years to perfect his kissing skills, and he does look rather tempting when he runs around the house shirtless. He's also charming, protective . . . did we mention he can kiss? Jackie needs to be on her guard, or else she'll have to come up with a new rule: If you're going to fall in love with a vampire, make sure it's a bite to remember.

Review: I was really surprised by this book! I was expecting a 3 or 4 star book and got a 5! The story is about a woman that flies from Australia to a small town in Wisconsin to surprise her fiance but finds out she's been conned out of all of her money and stranded. She rebuilds her life and finds love while helping the people around her. I liked the main characters, they were witty and well rounded.

Review: I really like how this series draws you into the story...Can't wait for the last of the trilogy to find out if the nephs win....

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

When I first picked it up I had no idea what this book was about. First it seemed like it takes place in the past where there is no technology. But I was wrong there is technology and it seems that the society has chosen to live in the past. It was bit bizarre book for me, but I still enjoyed reading it and will continue reading this series :)
