I liked it. It does have technical details and survey observations mentioned all over the place, but at the same time it doesn't let a layman get lost in those jungles. I personally liked first and last chapters best. There is take-home summary after each chapter. A good teacher the author is.

I read it on recommendation by a friend. And enjoyed it. Specific numeric values of speed seemed weird at first, but there is no simpler way to explain big leaps in capacity. Good teen age read.
