I love that book, but after what Hollywood did to the Percy Jackson series I'm good with it just being a book for now!

I totally agree with you Dana

Emily | 1 comments I would love to see The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod made into movies! I loved reading the series when I was in middle school and I've been constantly searching to find out if its ever been made into a movie. That would be pretty cool.

Katy | KD's Bookish Ways (tater_kd) Ever since I was in grade school and I read the whole series, I wish Gregor the Overlander would be made into a movie. Since Suzanne Collins second series of books were made into blockbusters, I'm hopeful.

Rebecca | 10 comments @ Katy: I can totally relate :D I really hope these books are made into movies. But I think it is really difficult to do so. There will have to be a lot of CGI and I don´t know if that would be a good solution...

message 257: by Karissa (new)

Karissa | 2 comments Does anyone else think that Eleanor and Park should be a movie?

message 258: by Starling (new)

Starling Knight | 5 comments I totally wish Every Day by David Levethian was a movie because that honestly would be so awesome. First off one of my favorite books and also a very good story.

Too true. CGI can really really ruin a movie if there is no acting. :)

Syd Gilbert (Thedeathly07hallowssyd) | 1 comments I'd love to see the Throne of Glass books turned into a movie/tv show! I'd also love to see Fangirl and Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell turned into movies.

message 261: by Deb (new)

Deb I've been disappointed too many times when a book is made into a movie. I don't like when the book story is changed to suit the movie - what's the point in that?

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments ^ Well, that's one of the many things the author and the fans let go of once the rights are sold to Hollywood people.

OMG YES !!! Throne of Glass would be an amazing movie, as long as the actors playing Chaol and Caelena are suitable. And hopefully they won't change the plot too much.

Preeta Rohan (preetalevi) | 7 comments Sam wrote: "Wow just finished the first book Delirium. Great recommendation Jasmina! Loved it and will be picking up the second straight away! So glad I bought the next 2 books already :)"

Delirium was made into a tv show, however only one episode was released. Wouldn't recommend it though. Bad choice of actors for the book characters.

ImALukewarmPizza | 3 comments I think that The Cardturner by Louis Sachar should be made into a movie.

message 266: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (ashley_shea) | 7 comments I've always wanted to see The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee adapted into movies! I was obsessed with that series when I was younger and read it multiple times. I just think the settings and world building done in it are amazing and would be so cool on the big screen. Very steampunk esque.

message 267: by Taintedfire12 (new)

Taintedfire12 | 2 comments I would love to see the Dorothy Must Die series made into a movie. Dorothy just makes...a FANTASTIC villain! ^^

message 268: by Colleen (new)

Colleen Out Of The Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis. I know Hollywood would degrade the Christian overtones, but this is a beautiful book from Lewis's bottomless imagination that could be so easily done with modern special effects. I wouldn't ask for the entire Space Trilogy, just this first book.

message 269: by Ceria (new)

Ceria Fajriati (lil_cherry93) | 4 comments How about Inheritance and His Dark Materials series?? These only filmed for the first book (Eragon and The Golden Compass)

message 270: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) | 34 comments Ceria wrote: "How about Inheritance and His Dark Materials series?? These only filmed for the first book (Eragon and The Golden Compass)"

I think particularly now in the age of franchises and shared universes in film, if they were to really design a seamless adaptation, sectioned off naturally into three films it might work. The trouble with Eragon and The Golden Compass was that they seemed reluctant to be more than a standalone.

message 271: by Riemacamp (new)

Riemacamp | 3 comments Lord of the Fading Lands Series by CL Wilson... OMG! this would be marvelous if the quality will be the same with Alice in Wonderland or Tim Burton movies

message 272: by Sanya (new)

Sanya (sanyakhan) Girl Online by Zoe Sugg.
I'd definitely watch it. I just love it so much :3

Yes, yes, yes! The first three Claidi books would make for fantastic indie steampunk-ish films.

message 274: by Burge (new)

Burge (burge2k12) | 3 comments I think I would like to see an adaption of the Hidden Children series. I loved the books growing up and kind of want to see what it would look like on the big screen.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I'm only about 100 pages in but... The Rosie Project.

message 276: by D L K (last edited May 15, 2016 12:40AM) (new)

D L K (ravenxgirl) Hey! New here. I want this to be a TV show more than a movie and that's the Raven boys. It'd be awesome seeing the characters grow as a person on screen as much as they did in the book

message 277: by Lorna (last edited May 15, 2016 03:20AM) (new)

Lorna | 6 comments The Undomesticated Goddess by Sophie Kinsella would be a hysterical movie! But as long as it's not Americanised like Shopaholic was.

ALSO anything by Anne Rice. A fresh take on her Vampire Chronicles would be amazing.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I heard they are doing a reboot of The Interview with a Vampire.

message 279: by Rells (new)

Rells (gingerwolfie) I think Angelfall by Susan Ee would be super-cool as a movie.
But you know those books that you just don't want to be made into a movie cuz its SO FANTABULOUSLY AMAZING and you don't want the casting to ruin it?
well for me that book/series is Throne of Glass cuz it was literally the best series i ever read- like the new harry potter or something!

message 280: by Alejandra (new)

Alejandra Valencia (alexa23) If it was made with a great budget and especial effects, I would love to watch "Firelight" by Sophie Jordán. I think that story would do amazing if well made.

Yeah I've heard that too. I hope it's not just another rumor

message 282: by Sylwia (new)

Sylwia Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover! AHHH wouldn't that just be the perfect Romantic Drama ?? And I can totally imagine myself crying during it !!

message 284: by MMTF (new)

MMTF | 1 comments Hello, I'm new to this group. I really loved the "One Plus One", by Jojo Moyes, and think it would make a nice movie.

message 285: by M.B. (new)

M.B. (emmbee89) | 6 comments Well, if we're dreaming big and can assume the best-ever adaptation, I'd vote for The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale. It would be cool to have POV shots from Cinder when her cyborg brain is doing cyborg things, and I would LOVE to see the magic system from The Books of Bayern (especially Enna's fire-speaking) on the big screen.

message 286: by Beth (new)

Beth | 1 comments I really want the Throne of Glass series by Sarah. J. Maas into a series of films. I really love how there are different genres in this book. The only thing is the films would probably be for 15 year olds and up because the books do get a bit violent and graphic. This wouldn't bother me though.

K.N. (karmaplace) Cate (The Professional Fangirl) wrote: "The Pierce Brown books that I'm reading reads like a screenplay. I'm interested to see Red Rising as a movie because it took me a while to get through all the jargo..."

Red Rising will be made into a film, though I'm nervous on how it will turn out. Either it'll be full of CGI, or they won't make the Colors as physically different as they should be...

The End of the World Running Club would make a fantastic movie if they kept it faithful. I also would love a We Are All Completely Fine or Harrison Squared film; Wes Craven was going to do a WAACF TV mini series, but he passed away before the project had solidified.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments ^ Well, Pierce Brown has screenwriting experience so I hope they have him on board for that.

message 290: by Madison (new)

Madison DeJulio | 1 comments Since I've been rereading "A Court of Thorns and Roses", I've been thinking how awesome it would be as a movie. It's been optioned for a movie so I have high hopes! I'd say the same for "Throne of Glass" too but I've heard it might be a tv show which is so awesome!

message 291: by adriana (new)

adriana (readercookie) | 4 comments One book i want to get into the big screen is Wonder, is such a good book i cant wait to see it as a movie

message 292: by Alex (new)

Alex (bovinealex) This had probably been said before, but I feel like Anna and the French Kiss would make a really great film. It could be a little tricky, since it is written from first person POV, but I think all the locations in Paris would translate pretty well to the big/small screen.

Right? The city of Peshamba alone would be awesome to see on screen!

message 294: by Megan (new)

Megan I'd love for the matched series to be a movie, but I am always skeptic of books becoming movies.

message 295: by Ornella (new)

Ornella Channer | 5 comments I read Blood of Eden, it's a great book. I would love to see this book turn into a movie.

message 296: by Ornella (new)

Ornella Channer | 5 comments I read the book Young Elite and I really love. I read that there a movie coming out for it but I don't when.

message 297: by Blake (new)

Blake Murray I think the Chemical Garden Trilogy should be made into a movie, the series is a dystopic novel which is really popular in today's movie industry. plus the books are so good!! I honestly can not stress it enough how much I love those books!

message 298: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Robinson (BlackPage) | 2 comments I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this but: Warriors. I've heard rumors of it being made into a movie, but it's been years with no further news. I doubt that it could be very EASILY made into a good movie, either. it would have to be almost entirely CGI...but then again, the Jungle Book surprised me :)

message 299: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) | 34 comments Wish we'd get a sequel for the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, but I'm not sure it's ever going to happen. Also a possible reboot of His Dark Materials!
