Hello, I have a SF-series called "In strange orbits". Originally published in Spanish, I'm translating the series into English, and would like you guys to have a look at the corresponding blurbs and make suggestions for enhancements. I am not a native English speaker and though my English is quite good, I do not master it as well as you do. Thanks in advance for your support!

The lost girl
With ten years, Tanit is a genius. She is the youngest astrobiologist in history, and for that reason she has been authorized to travel to the newly founded colony of Thuis, fifty light-years from Earth. Tanit will finally join her mother, who left for the colony two years back. What neither she nor her father know is that something terrible is going to happen, something that will force Tanit to take care of herself in a hostile universe.

First Contact
With only eleven years, Tanit is lost among the stars. Due to a horrible accident in the starship where she was traveling, she is now fifteen thousand light-years away from home. Even though the girl is a genius, she is unable to repair the torn-apart vessel. Her only hope to return is to find an alien civilization that could help her.
For the first time in the history of mankind, there will be an alien contact. But a girl of her age is very prone to get into trouble...
Unfortunately, the aliens will not be as she thinks.
They will not treat her as she expects.
Worst of all, the aliens don't care.
And Tanit will then face a real problem: how to survive.

The Krogan's nest
With only eleven years, Tanit has lost her starship and is now stranded in an alien space station, fifteen thousand light-years from home. She's just a little girl, but that means nothing for aliens that don't even know what human beings are.
If that were not enough, Tanit will face a ten feet tall Krogan warrior, a creature similar to a dinosaur, which will obviously want to kill her... and yet might change her life, for better or worse.

I just have a quick comment.
Instead of "with only eleven years," go with "Only eleven years old..." With doesn't work in the translation. You could also do "Eleven year old Tanit ..." Good luck!

But before that can happen, a catastrophe shatters her hopes and plans, leaving little Tanit alone to take fend for herself in a very hostile universe.

I'd go with this version for "The Lost Girl" : "Tanit is already a genius at only ten. As the youngest astrobiologist in history, she has permission to travel to the newly founded colony of Thuis, fifty light-years from Earth. There she will finally join her mother, who left for the colony two years before. But Tanit has no idea of the terrible event looming in her future that will force her to fend for herself in a hostile universe." I think the inclusion of her father in one sentence actually confuses the blurb a little.

"First Contact": After a starship accident, eleven-year-old Tanit is lost among the stars, fifteen thousand light-years from home. Although a genius, she cannot repair the ship, and her only hope is to find an alien civilization that could help her.
For the first time in the history, humans will meet aliens, but she soon discovers that the aliens don't care about her problems.
And Tanit will then face a real problem: how to survive.

I'd begin "The Krogan's Nest with "Eleven-year-old Tanit..."
