Brandy | 29 comments I've spent the better part of the day combining Stephen King titles. I'll be going through and double-checking things like The Gunslinger, which have regular and graphic-novel versions now, but for the most part I've been working on putting foreign editions in. I'm pretty confident in German and French (Google's translations of Amazon.de and Amazon.fr help a lot!) but someone may want to double-check my Spanish...

Anyway, while I've been working on this, I came across this listing:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...

Do we just delete it, since it's not a book? Send a note to the user?

Alternately: is there a way to rate authors, besides creating new "book" listings for them?

Debbie Moorhouse It went.

Brandy | 29 comments Thanks! I wasn't sure what to do with it, since there was a user who had rated it--guess I just wanted someone else to make the executive decision. :)

For future reference, if you combine a book with another edition and then delete the duplicate/faulty one, all ratings/reviews will be shifted to the other one it was merged with.

Brandy | 29 comments Right--the problem was, this wasn't a book. There was an entry just labeled "Stephen King" that someone created, gave 5 stars, and "reviewed" as saying it was easier than listing all books individually. So there was nothing to merge it with, because it wasn't a real book.
