Has anyone read this or seen the movie? We just watched the movie, and I thought the special effects were awesome! I'm going to be reading the book next.

Annalise Grey I LOVED the movie. I haven't read the books yet although my nephew has sung the series' praises for months now. I thought the kid who played Ender was amaaaazing. He looked so innocent and sweet one minute and horribly creepy the next.

David Estes (davidestesbooks) I saw the movie, which was pretty cool! I have the book on my Kindle, so hoping it's just as good!

Meagan | 280 comments I really enjoyed the book (I read it a few weeks ago) and am really hoping that the movie is just as awesome as the book was :)

Nicole | 78 comments The book is amazing - especially when you factor in when it was written! I LOVED it! A lot!!!!! The movie was good - but some much more happens in the book that will explain the movie better.... does that make since? totally recommend this book!

Books are usually better than movies, so I'm expecting good things from it :)

I haven't read or seen the movie but plan on doing both. Sheri, if you want to do a buddy read on this one I would be up for that.

Sure, once I read it I'll try to remember to post here :)

Ewide | 8 comments I read the book and loved it too. The movie had to cut a bunch of parts out for time, but they did a good job. I highly recommend it :)

Lisa (lisa_pizza) one of the better book-to-movie transformation i've seen. i dont mind that they cut a lot out regarding valentine and peter. the actor was awesome for ender. and i heard people say that "they changed the movie so much that if they make a sequel it will have to be completely different than 'speaker for the dead'" but i just dont see that to be true. i look forward to a speaker for the dead movie.

Alexander Charalambides | 1 comments I have read the book and seen the movie. Setting the quality of the book (low) aside for a moment, I will agree that some of the movies effects were impressive, but I felt like it suffered from a lack of diverse sets and extras. The book at least seemed to portray a busy, full and sometimes hectic place, while the movie battle school seemed mostly empty. Did anyone else feel like this?
