Yani I've taken to calling him jaron despite hearing him be called sage so much throughout both books.
what about you?

Emily Ann Sage

I seem to always forget Jaron but Sage sticks in my head.

Hannah baity Jaron. I don't know why but I always call him Jaron

bipasha Sage, can't change.

Rebecca Pierce Sage; it is unique and yet familiar, which makes it easier to remember. Plus, if you refer to him as Sage, you don't run the risk of spoiling the story for someone else.

Georgia Sage mostly

Lilliandil Mainly "Sage". "Jaron" doesn't quite stick to him...

T.L. Coulter He is always Jaron now in my eyes.

Tessa Sage for the first two books; Jaron for the last. Perhaps coincidentally, I didn't like the last book.

B Sage more for the first two, but he wasn't Sage at all for the last, so it kinda dropped off.

Allie I seem to easily associate both names with him. Easily interchangeable. So much so, that when talking about him with other people, I'm not sure what to call him! I end up calling him "the prince" or "the king" depending on what book I'm talking about, or the situation that he's in.

Tessa Stephanie wrote: "Although, if you can't decide, you can always call him "Jage" or "Saron" ; )"

Oh no, not Saron! That sounds way too much like somebody else....

Dana Jaron. I am in love with him. Wait... What?

message 14: by Mezi (new)

Mezi I always call him Jaron. Probably because it's his real name and everyone close to him calls him that.

Mackenzie Jaron. Unless I'm talking to somebody who hasn't read the book. Then I call him Sage because I don't want to spoil it.

Jaron now, but Sage will always stick with me throughout the first book. It depends which book I am referencing, lol

Lillie i tried to call him Sage throughout the series, even though it got a bit harder to do during the last book. I just don't like the name Jaron, but i think Sage is a really cool name, and the book made it so Sage connects to the rugged on the streets and tough kind of a thing, where Jaron seems to make me think prim and proper and more kingly/princely.

Nicole He almost seems like two characters to me, so when he's being adorably sneaky, I call him Sage. When he's more solemn, I call him Jaron. Although I have to agree with previous statements that I call him Sage mostly so as not to spoil the series for other people.

Amelia Hill I think he'll always be known as Sage, but I sometimes call him Jaron. I prefer Sage however.

Ramesha I call him sage as he is still that rebel and doesn't really act like a prince. SO no Jaron.

Caramel 7-2521 I've gotten too used to calling him Sage

message 22: by Ruhi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ruhi I call him Jaron because for a majority of the series, he goes by Jaron.

Nixonmat I call him Jaron, we just don't hear "Sage" that much anymore.

Clavin Cutler I want to call him Sage, but I call him Jaron.

Lilly In the first book, I called him Sage. In the second I called him Jaron. I'm not done with the third.

message 26: by Eva (new) - rated it 5 stars

Eva I promised myself that I would never stop calling him Sage; I like the name better. But then once I'd read his name as Jaron too many times, I started not thinking of him as either. He was just sort of nameless in my mind.

Keyera Haskins I often switch between the 2 names, though I think I tend to use Jaron more. However, like a few people above mentioned, I make sure to use Sage when I'm talking with someone who has yet to read the series.

Lilly Lilly wrote: "In the first book, I called him Sage. In the second I called him Jaron. I'm not done with the third."

Finished the third one called him Jaron the entire time.

message 29: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Sage because that's how I met him (in the book) and so that's how he will always be in my eyes.

Serine Majid I call him Sage cause I love that name and also, it sticks in my head more and it's easier to say that Jaron ;P (not really lol). It's just better.

Angelina I call him Jaron more because it's his given name and to me Sage is like a nickname.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Noice lol

Totally, Sage, it was the first name in the book

Dinah ✨Keefe's Only✨Setter #7 MATT'S BABY SAJA'S J I don't call him Sage that much anymore, though I like the name. I really only use 'Sage' if I am reading the first book and a little of the second. Otherwise, I'd call him Jaron. I honestly don't like that name. To me, it sounds too kingly, or proper.

BookMaster4 It definitely depends on who I'm talking to, if I'm selling the book to one of my friends it's Sage (cause spoilers) but if they've already read it, I go by context. If he's being a witty hot mess with trust issues it's Sage, if it's a moment of sanity or regality he's definitely Jaron. I agree with op that they're almost two different characters

message 36: by Dea (new) - added it

Dea If I'm talking about him before he was king I use Sage, after I use Jaron.

Dinah ✨Keefe's Only✨Setter #7 MATT'S BABY SAJA'S J I mostly just use Jaron, like you said, BookMaster4 unless I'm out in public or if someone is just starting to read the book and want to talk about it! :-)
