message 256: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 629 comments For the 3 U's in the title goal, will subtitles work too?

Chaser: Unlocking the Genius of the Dog Who Knows a Thousand Words

message 257: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Yeah, subtitles count as long as they're part of what goodreads links.

It is written in the old choose your own adventure style and the alternate endings are pretty funny even though they are not believable. It was an entertaining memoir.

Heh yeah. I always feel a little guilty for doing the 450 page ones since we don't get the double attack then but it still takes awhile.

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I'm putting finished books over on the Hector thread. Is that right?

message 267: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 629 comments I thought we were posting if a book we read works for a goal over there but still posting here for attack points.

message 268: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I'm sorry. I'm confused. I finished Amy, My Daughter today.

I posted it on Hector's thread.

I'll check to see if it fits a goal.

message 269: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments You can do it both places if you want others to know about the book.

Tomorrow I leave for a short few day vacation at a waterpark with the family. Should be interesting.

message 272: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I'm reading Dead to the World now. I don't think it's good for any goals.

For the tree reference goal, could we use a title with the word sTREEt in it?

I'm guessing not, but I'll check. I waver when I write goals on if I allow that kind of stuff but usually I write that it's ok if it is.

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Finished Mort.

I like DEATH :P He's a good character.

Finished 8/19

message 278: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments I hope the vacation works out well. I got some of the leap reader pens for the kids. It's pretty neat, you get special books and then you tap the pen to the page and it reads the word you tap, or if you tap a character it says a little thing from them. Plus there's games you can play like find items and such. Kids have neat toys these days.

message 279: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments My current book has vampires, a fairy, werewolves and witches.

I font know if these goals will come up in the future but I thought I'd mention it just in case. :)

Ooo. Is it a good job change? I'm sure that eats up lots of your life.

I recommend going and hiding somewhere to read :P Sometimes that's the only time I can sneak reading in.

I'm glad you seem to be doing well.

Seems like that category is annoying people :P

message 290: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments Isn't it covered? I thought someone was reading Loser...?

I've started Sense and Sensibility. A book I never before have gotten around to reading.

If losers/winners is still an issue, I'll buy a book to read.

message 291: by Amanda A (last edited Aug 23, 2015 05:58PM) (new)

Amanda A | 629 comments I am listening to The Winner's Curse for that goal. Loser did not work because I think the word count might have been too low for a children's book.

message 292: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments Ah... I didn't know it was a children's book.

Glad you've got it covered.

Sense & Sensibility will take me a few days to read.

I hope you all are wonderful, team Juba.

My house has been so busy lately - juggling work and family with lamb feedings. :)

I wish I knew how to post pictures. I have some amazing lamb photos. They're so cute.

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments www.tinypic.com is the one a lot of mods use. Or you can use google photos or such.

if you click on the (some html is ok) it shows you how to add an image using img src.
