In the eastern religions, the Lotus is associated with purity and beauty, which comes to the surface as a result of cleansing the mind and detaching one’s true Self from the mind.

An intriguing quote! I sometimes think it would be nice to know who other people think I am. Sometimes I catch a bit of other people's ideas and it is very surprising.
