Thoughts?

Ok so I just started this book and I'm not sure I like this unique writing style. Some of it works but then some of it just doesn't make any sense. I'm also not sure how I feel about Juliette yet, so far she has been helpless, terrified, confused, lots of crying, screaming and fainting. I know that she has had a rough childhood and is traumatized by her solitary imprisonment but I do hope she develops into a stronger heroine. I am interested in what has happened to the world, what they need her for and how she got her ability. Hopefully all this will soon be answered.
Is anyone else reading this?

So I finished the book, I didn't really care for her writing style and found myself skipping some parts. I'm a little conflicted because want to know how these people got their special powers but I don't want to read the next book. So if anyone reads the next book feel free to tell me what happens, so I don't have too.
