Wow. It's been so long since I read this that I barely remember it. I think it's been about fifteen years.

I read it when I was in 2nd grade and I loved it!

I read it for school, and honestly I don't always like the books they give at school. But this one was different; I really enjoyed it!
When you think about it, the universe of The Giver is close to the one in the Divergent or Maze Runner series.

I adore The Giver. The first time I read it as a kid I had trouble sleeping, it was so powerful. And yet the language is simple and the story easy to understand. But it has a really important message and I still re-read it often. The recent movie didn't do it justice.

I read the book after I watched the movie.Obviously the book was better.
But I am more of a happily ever after kind of person,so for me,the ending was a bit abrupt.But I enjoyed the book nonetheless.

The ending was abrupt but also full of hope.

I loved this book, but I didn't like the ending that much, cause it ended in a cliffhanger and I don't like Cliffhangers

Oh really? Yeah, I guess cliffhangers are annoying.

Read this book when I was in 7th grade and didn't like it, probably because it was required reading. I reread it a few years ago and I loved it
