Audiothing I've just installed the latest update to my audible app, It doesn't work! All I get is a black screen!
I know there were problems for some a while ago, but I wasn't affected by that. Anyone else just updated?

Audiothing Problem resolved via a friend.
On IOS double click home button, all the opened screens appear, flick up to close. The Audible will appear as a black screen. Once you've flicked it off, reopen in the usual way

Specs Bunny (specsbunny) | 494 comments Had same problem on my iPhone. Closing the Audible app did not do the trick for me, I restarted my iPhone, which really took longer too!
But then it finally worked, what a relieve as I was getting ready for my peaceful listening time before sleeping.
Unfortunately the annoying "turn off airplane mode" bug still haunting me in this update.

HJ I discovered in the middle of the night that the icon for the Audible app had mysteriously changed to one which is bright orange.

I'm not keen on changes like this happening automatically; I like to monitor and control my updates. It also meant that I was woken up thoroughly when I just wanted to use the sleep-timer to get back to sleep.

Incidentally, I thoroughly dislike the new logo, which is too like other Amazon ones (and I hate orange).

W.  Frazier | 29 comments Phew, glad to hear it wasn't just me. I was caught at the beginning of a dog walk. I tried closing the app, turning the iphone off and on, and it was still stuck in the trying to download rolling circle mode. I had three books already downloaded, but it didn't let me play any of them, although the screen was showing where I had last left off....When I got home I ended up deleting the books and reloading them. Works now. Yep, new logo too... (There might have been an easier solution, but the dog was impatient--me too....)

Specs Bunny (specsbunny) | 494 comments Mmm, so far I already had the app crashing twice, causing the phone to switch the screen off as soon as you try to unlock, repeatedly.

Only thing for it is to switch the phone off completely to restart. Sigh.

Brigitta Moon (brigittamoon) | 16 comments I usually listen to audiobooks on CD in my car, but I want to connect my Nexus to the car either with bluetooth or USB and listen to books using the Audible app. Has anyone done this? Any problems?

Leona  | 45 comments I use my iPhone and a FM tuner, it works really well, the app gives me no problems, it's excellent :)

Julesy | 96 comments Just this month I had a corrupted PC so it was basically out of commission (could not access internet). During the same time I had to use a credit since I had too many stocked up. I tried to use a credit with the Audible app on my iPad2 but I got a message that it had to be accomplished via computer. I did manage to use a credit on the Audible app on my Android phone.

Is this a common thing where I cannot use a credit on the iPad app? My Audible app is updated but I haven't upgraded to the latest iOS yet.

Although we are unable to make purchases through the app, you can indeed use your iOS device to purchase. Thank you, Audible SS! I see what you mean about purchasing via the Safari app on the iPad. I will remember that for the next time!
