Jada had rounded the corner and she could see straight into the classroom

Spencer lost his temper at that point. He punched at Connor's face repeatedly, showing no signs of being willing to stop.

Connor tried to protect his face, but it wasn't working.

"Guys! Spencer!" She yelled, running to stop Spencer
"Stop!"

Spencer was still trying to hit Connor up until Jada was between them.

Some other students in the hall had noticed the fight and gotten teachers. Two teachers rushed into the room, one of them grabbing Spencer and holding him back.

Connor glared at Spencer, he was happy they had caught Spencer, and not him.

"Spencer! What happened?" She asked.
"Connor, are you okay?" She said and examined his face.

Spencer didn't answer. He had pretty much gone limp, not struggling against the teacher. He had one hand clutching the dog tags around his neck. He looked down, quietly muttering "I'm sorry" over and over again.

Jada didn't know who to be mad at, she didn't know the whole story, and she knew it was doubtful that either of the boys would tell the truth, "hey are there video cameras in here?" She asked the teacher, and the teacher nodded.

Connor rubbed his nose, which was bleeding "Yeah I'm fine. I guess," He replied.

"Both of you, head to the principals office." The teacher holding Spencer told Jada and Connor. He had Spencer start walking toward the door. Spencer kept his eyes on the ground, not willing to look at Jada.

Jada followed them to the principal's office, she stayed close by Connor.

Spencer was told to sit in a chair in the corner while the teacher spoke with the principal. Spencer willingly obeyed. His shoulders were shaking.

Jada sat down next to him, and looked at him, "I know that you didn't start this," she whispered.

Spencer didn't say anything. He wouldn't look up, still clutching the dog tags.

She sighed, "We'll watch the video... I'm not mad, I'm just a little confused," She continued.

"I can explain later.." He whispered, his voice cracking.

"Hey, it's alright, I'll get you ut of this," She replied, and teacher came back in, "
"The principal will you you three now."

"Don't bother. It's fine." Spencer whispered as he stood up.

Jada and Connor followed him into the office,
"Um Mr. Principal sir, can we see the secruity tape?" She asked.

Spencer stood in the corner of the room, his back against the wall.

"I have already viewed it.." The principal told them.

"Well can I see it, I'd like to know what happened," She asked.

"Fine." The principal sighed and brought up the video. He turned the screen to face Jada.

The video showed Connor and Spencer arguing, Connor shoved Spencer twice, then punched him, and then the punching fight went on, "Okay... that's enough," She said and turned towards the boys, percing her lips.

Spencer kept his head down, not looking at the video.

Connor stared at Jada, ashamed of what he had done.
"Connor, you started the fight, and Spencer you finished it," The principal said "I think you two should be suspended," He said.

"How long?" Spencer asked the principal, looking at him.

"I'm thinking a week," He responded, and typed something into the computer, "You two are banned from the school until next week."

"Okay." Spencer sighed. "At least I can work more this week then.." He muttered.

"This is going on your permanent record," The principal said.

Connor sighed.

Spencer nodded, biting his lip. "Okay."

Jada looked down and exited the office, deep in thought. What had cause the fight?

"Are you calling parents too?" Spencer asked.

"Yes, however, it looks like I don't have any of your gaurdians' contact information? Would you mind giving to me?" The principal said.

Spencer sighed. "Okay, would you like the number of the one that's in jail or the one that's dead?" He asked in a low voice since Connor was still there.

"Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't realize..." He mumbled.

Connor's ears perked up, hearing about Spencer's parents.

Jada quickly realized no one was following her, so she stopped and peeked in the window of the office.

"It's fine." Spencer shrugged. "Can I go get my stuff?"

"Uh, yes," The principal replied and shut his computer.

Connor left.

Jada was still listening when the door hit her in the face,
"Ow!" She exclaimed, holding her nose.

Spencer nodded. He let Connor leave first.

Jada sat down, rubbing her nose,

and Connor realized he had hit her, "Oh my God, I am so sorry, are you okay?" He asked, kneeling next to her.

Spencer brushed by them. He glanced at the two of them and sighed. He silently walked back to the classroom.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine, just leave me alone, okay?" She said, looking down.

Connor sighed. "He started that fight.. I shoved him because he was threatening me.." He told her, lying.

Spencer gathered his stuff.

"I don't know if I believe that, now please just leave me alone," She sighed.

"Jada, he was flat out insulting you.. Saying you're just some dumb cheerleader and stuff like that..." Connor told her. He sighed, thinking about what Spencer had said about his parents.

Spencer walked out to the parking lot.

"Really?" She asked, looking up, "Connor, I swear if you're lying..."

"I'm not lying. That's why we started fighting.. I defended you because he was being a jerk.." Connor answered.

"Maybe I'll ask him," She said, and pulled out her phone and began to text Spencer.

Connor frowned. "What, you think he's gonna tell you the truth that he was being a jerk?" He asked.

"Yes, because I know he won't lie to me..." She mumbled,
"Hey Spencer... Connor said that you were insulting me and that when the fight started?" She texted.

Connor nodded.

Spencer didn't hear his phone, it being at the bottom of his backpack. He got into his car and started it.

Jada got up and went to the bathroom, splashing her face with water, her nose was still red.

Connor sighed as he watched her walk away.
