Hi, absolutely and welcome! I'm looking forward to it as well. I finally finished The Odyssey, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through Slaughterhouse Five. I ended up liking The Odyssey, but I am sure I missed quite a bit of symbolism. I am liking S5 as well and am kind of intrigued by the way it is narrated.
I am so glad they gave us the reading list in order so I can try to keep up in sequence!

So, progress so far: How is everyone doing? I've finished Oedipus. I'm about 2/3 through The Odyssey (which will be the first book John does). I've already read TKAMB, Beloved, Hamlet and Frankenstein and Jane Eyre, so I still need to read Slaughterhouse Five and Things Fall Apart.
I liked Oedipus Rex, and I like the story in the Odyssey, but I'm having a hard time with what seems like the repetitiveness of the story (to me, anyway). It seems like something happens, then someone tells someone about what happened, then someone tells a story about what happened, etc etc. I'm sure I'm missing out on something there, lol.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
