It's one of my favorite series.

Yes, I've read the Mercy Thompson book too. I'm waiting on the latest book, . It is an amazing series too.

I love Hawke and Sienna's book. It's one of the best in the series.

So, has anyone else noticed that a lot of the females in these books are redheads? I've counted 4 so far...

Also there is a high incidence of shredding of clothing. Can you imagine how much they spend on clothes every month?

I hadn't notice but maybe it is because they are in the same pack.

That is a hazard of being a shifter...shredded clothing for one reason or another.

I have a good shifter series that has dominant woman in it. The Pride series by Shelly Laurenston

I've heard of those but haven't read any.

This was my favorite just because of Riley and Mercy.

The only thing I don't really like is all the little short chapters from the other points of view. I get why we need some of the Psy ones - but some of them seem unnecessary to me and are distracting.

@Sheri, yes there are a lot of redheads. From what I can remember, Mercy, Faith, Sienna. Who is the fourth?

I really felt like this was a cop-out though. But yes, it was better than what she /seemed/ to be setting up. It also wasn't unexpected, at least for me. From the moment Mercy was worried about it, I expected (view spoiler)[ the webs to connect. I was surprised they didn't connect more honestly. (hide spoiler)]

I also want a non-hetero couple. Mmm. among the psy. or the shifters. anyone really. (But it would be so hot among the psy.)

I'm in the minority here. The psy are my favorites, hands down.

Yeah, redheards are relatively rare, but the author has a serious redhead fetish. Although Sienna is listed as not quite a redhead... because it's /too/ rich. :P

So, back to the meta plot, any more theories on the Ghost?

We received (I think) several hints this book. I am now more sure than ever that it is (view spoiler)[ Kaleb (hide spoiler)]. And when that book comes, I will die the death of a happy fangirl.

The other redhead was one of the kids in the wolf den. I can't remember his name and don't have my book with me to look it up, but he was hanging on Riley. Quick scene, but his hair was mentioned.

I'm guessing Titianna was behind them.

I didn't. It was a complete surprise. I liked it as a twist.

Like I said, I felt the ending of this one was a bit of a cop-out. But that part pleased me a lot. :)

Hmm... Could be Ben. Haven't re-read this series in a while. But if you guys decide to continue this series, I'm up for the next two books and Heart of Obsidian when you get to it.

I liked Dev. I am ready for Hawke and Sienna. What was up with Sienna going off with that boy at the end of this story?

I think Sienna and Kit would be adorable.

But I am thinking that it was
1) her faking us out, if we didn't know what was coming already (because it hadn't been published) and
2) Sienna trying to pretend there wasn't a thing with Hawke. ;P

They just keep putting him on the edge of adulthood, so that's why it is weird. Although he's a soldier now and a soon to be alpha, so I guess it shouldn't be.
I wish she would just call him "adult" though, instead of describing him as straddling it.
Then again, I know thirty year olds who are "straddling" adulthood.

That helps me because I have the audio books and it is hard for me to keep the characters straight.

I like Kit too. I couldn't remember who she walked off with.

I get what you mean Alyssia. I think Kit is technically old enough but she always bunches him in with the juveniles so he seems younger. I remember one of the first books saying the Changelings aren't considered 'adult' until 22 or around then.

The only reason Sienna left from the Snow Dancer den is because Hawke makes her quite volatile. They have a very rocky relationship right now. Her mysterious powers are very dangerous ans staying with Hawke around is very stressing for her.
