The Next Best Book Club discussion

Hi everyone.

I am currently in contact with Lance Carbuncle. Author of Smashed, Squashed, Splattered, Chewed, Chunked and Spewed, whose latest book Grundish and Askew is set to be released sometime soon.

He is willing to do an author Q&A session with us.

Who is interested in chatting with him about his first novel SMASHED and probing and prodding for the dirt on his newest novel??????

I haven't read his first, but I will and I would love to be in on the Q&A!

I have to admit I have not read it either, but it is such a thrill to be a part of any author Q&A. I would certainly love it if you arranged it. We'd all HAVE to read the book, then. No excuses:)

I would do one. I tried to find his book at Borders and they don't have it in the store. Do you know if B&N has it?

Jackie: I got it right off good reads -look up the book and it has a link to purchase - I got a signed copy and it was less than the Chapters (the B&N equivalent in Canada) price.

I have it but haven't read it yet but if you set it up the deadline will motivate me to move it to the top of the pile. Keep us posted!

Thanks! I know he was selling it during Christmas season but I didn't know if that was a special or not.

Did you discuss potential dates for a discussion or are you just trying to generate interest at the moment?

He mentioned that he is open to it. I sent him an email asking if he has a date or time frame in mind for us to work with.

Until he replies back, I am just looking for an interest level....

I am very interested. If the time frame would allow us all time to get a hold of the book and read it before the discussion, that would be ideal. :) I'm excited, I've been wanting to read this one!

I read it a few weeks ago and loved it! I've honestly never read another book quite like it. I'd be interested in a Q&A.

And for those looking to get a copy, I ordered his book right off his site - I got a signed copy in the mail very quickly! :)

Lance is interested in hosting a thread in the middle of August with us. He will run it for an entire week, giving us the chance to ask questions and giving him a greater opportunity to answer them.

I will let you know dates and times and all as we closer the event!

Ok, it was in my mailbox when I got home from work yesterday. I was laughing out loud just at the "reviews" at the beginning and the first page of the foreword. I think I'm going to have to put the other books I'm reading now on hold just to read through this one.

Lance is now selling signed copies of Grunish and Askew on his website. CHeaper than where you can find non-signed copies on Amazon or any other book-selling websites. SO if you are interested, now is the time :)

Do any of you read his reviews and comments of books he's reading?!! Or even the titles of the books he's reading?!! LOL hysterical ...

Ive actually gotten quite a few new to-reads from his reviews... He is quite the revieweer!
